Nozoki Ana review
*SPOILER ALERT*
The leading heroine is basically a manipulative rapist. Of course, the main character didn't seem to notice and the almighty plot armor protected her.
*END SPOILER*
Let's start this review with the manga's problems. The concept is pretty standard for a mature manga: stupid boy finds conveniently placed peephole and proceeds to use it to peep on his neighbor who, surprise, surprise, is attractive, female, AND his classmate. But that's alright. I don't expect realism in my porn. In it's entirety, the plot wasn't at all bad, and much better than 90% of all ecchi/hentai/adult/whatever manga that has been written. Problem lies completely with Emiru.
FUCK EMIRU.
She is a horrible character! I don't care what caused her to be so fucked up, because she is probably the worst leading manga heroine in the adult genre. Hell, I'd say she is the worst. I'm not going to go into many details, but let's just say the manga would have been much shorter and filled with less bullshit if she never existed. I genuinely liked Kido, but him being attracted to Emiru made me hate him.
To be perfectly blunt, Emiru is a rapist. AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY. For those who have read the manga, please imagine everything gender reversed. Yeah, now her actions are no longer adorably psychotic and sexy... they are downright rapey and manipulative. Just imagine the firestorm this novel would have had if that were the situation. I doubt it would have even been published. Male Emiru would have been dragged to jail and hopefully castrated for his actions. It's utterly disgusting to think about. And before you say: "But that's how ecchi/adult/hentai/porn/whatever is!" It's not. I've read a LOT of the genre and let me tell you, the mangaka never has to force fan service using Emiru's detestable methods. If you don't want to imagine it gender swapped, just imagine what the story would have been like if Emiru was ugly. That's right! Kido probably would have never put up with Emiru's assholery. Oh, and don't get me started on her shit personality. Since I think I've bitched about Emiru enough, I'll be short: that stupid sometimes sweet sometimes cold personality is the worst.
Now then, as an adult manga, Nozoki Ana is, without a doubt, one of the best. The protagonist and many of his friends (except Emiru) were likeable and the story (when Emiru wasn't involved) was refreshing. I can say the lovely art is what delayed me from ultimately putting the manga down. After some point, however, Emiru became too much of an annoyance for me, so I never finished it. I do have a vague knowledge of what happened after the point I stopped reading, and I can say that I'm glad I didn't waste my time finishing it.
**TLDR version**
Story 5
Art 10
Characters 6
Enjoyment 4
Overall 3
Emiru made Nozoki Ana a horrible experience. She should be ashamed of herself.

Nozoki Ana review
Okay, lets be honest. The first time you start reading you might just this is just a run of the mill ecchi manga, but, hold on a minute, BUT, as you continue reading on there's more to it than it seems.

Story: 9/10. Was interesting, for an ecchi manga it touches on some deep topics. Aside from the whole agreement on the peephole most of this could happen in real life. Unrequited love, conniving friends, lost of trust, and heartbreak. The sex scenes every chapter COULD take away from the story if you're not very good with it, but soldier on, trust me it'll be worth it. As someone who reads ecchi it sure was awkward reading one where the story develop during the sex scenes.

Art: 8/10. I've seen better and I've seen worse. This is on the higher end of the better. Expressions really convey how someone would react. Not everyone looked the same, so thats a plus!

Character: 10/10. The characters start developing before your eyes and you start respecting them as you read on. Kido starts of like any other ecchi/harem-ish character: amazingly nice to everyone except for the main heroine until he realizes it's too late. I disliked him at first but liked him as he grows into a real man. As for Emiru I liked her since the beginning. She is so devilishly cunning and her wit is sharp. I like how she makes Kido uncomfortable and react to everything she does. The side characters are not useless (unlike some other ecchi mangas I've read before) They also develop along with the main characters. I found myself rooting for the sideline characters when they start to find their own meaning of life as well.

Overall: 9/10. I really enjoyed this. I actually had this story on hold for a year or so but I finally sat down and started reading and lets say I didn't stand up until I finished. From putting it off at ch. 4 all the way to finishing at ch.117. This might be a tear jerker or maybe I'm just a sap for a little unrequited love, oh well.

Nozoki Ana review
Storyline - 10: So you got a girl who seems to have a fetish for watching others through a hole and an unlucky neighbor who is blackmailed into becoming her sideshows in exchange for watching her back and you get to experience their relationship blossom as the guy tries to experience his own love life whilst having to keep this one girls antics in the back of his mind...This on paper is perhaps on the most sexual explicit manga you might watch but there is something that makes it different but you can simply say it in any review.
If you aren't a fan of ecchi stuff this may not be for you but if you are then you may know what i mean by this in the sense that the erotic and ecchi elements of this manga dont seem to be forced or there for the sake of being there instead it all seems 'natural' like this is meant to be here, this scene has been coming for a while and all that and because of that the storyline becomes something special and highly enjoyable.

Artwork - 9: I am not saying that artwork is bad, in fact i love it because the detail in the characters are absolutely incredible and how they managed to make so many girls look just so beautiful wether in outfits, swimwear and of course, naked is why i love this manga so much.

Character - 9: I dont think i need to say anymore than Emiru here, she is beautiful with a twisted sense of humor, has nothing to hide and is not affraid to admit she has a perverted side to her, when it comes to female characters if she isnt in the top 20 of any anime character of all time then theres a probably with the list i say.

Enjoyment - 9: Absolutely...You may pick this up for the nudity but i honestly believe you will read on for the twists, the story and comedy that is in this manga, as I said before this manga takes the whole ecchi genre to a new level where even those who hate ecchi may actually like this simply because its not full in your face but more "oh look a nude scene now back to the story".

Overall - 9: Ok i really did wanna give this a 10 but i wouldnt say its quite perfect but in terms of entertainment, ecchi, characters, comedy and art there are very few manga out there that are as good as Nozoki ana!!

Dont forget to catch the series of this when it is realised sometime this year..its going to be great :D

Nozoki Ana review
MOD EDIT: *The review contains spoilers*

This manga is very interesting, to that fact that it investigates many issues found in society to depth and allows to you see the more darker and disturbing things in life. However, what makes this manga interesting is that it was somehow able to make this into a semi-comedic manga, with funny quirks in between.

This manga is aimed at the seinen bracket, and so those who are weak hearted, i will advise to turn away from this as this story, in all honesty, does depict some of the more horrible and cruel things in life.

Story:
You probably have already read the synopsis of this manga, so i won't bore you with the fundamental plot. I'm also not going to try and revel any spoilers, as i found that this manga was still a very good overall manga. It shows the more "lecherous" side of humans, and this series contains a lot of heartbreaking moments, and a lot of immoral moments. Ultimately, the male protagonist does end up with the female protagonist, but the obstacles of morality and even love come into play which drags this series along. That being said, the obstacles i mentioned are somewhat sad, as you would expect, but also somewhat immoral, which is why i'd only advise this manga to those who are strong hearted.

Art:
Found the art perfect for this type of mature manga, and it certainly was able to portray the characters in the fashion which they were best portrayed.

Character:
As i said previously, this manga does deal with some of the darker truths in life and so many of the characters could be considered "dark". My main objection with the characterization was that it seemed like the author had forcefully added faults to the characters, as some of the situations and character backgrounds seemed unrealistic, and just plain weird. My other objection is one that really cannot be solved unless i spoil some of the story. However i believe that objection cannot really be solved by anyone apart from the society issues in japan, which probably forced the author to write such a thing (if you want to know more, message me).

Enjoyment:
Despite all the sadness and heartbreaks in the story, i still found every arc of the story enjoyable, in the sense that the author really did prioritize drama in this series, and the way it was portrayed made me very happy.

Therefore, to conclude i would like to say that Nozoki Ana was a very good manga, probably somewhere in my top 10. It defiantly dives into some of the more darker issues and so it does seem somewhat darkish. But if you have time on your hands, and you wish to feel your heart ache then mend again, read all 117 chapters, and i promise you that you wouldn't regret it

Nozoki Ana review
I was introduced to this manga through watching the animated adaptation of the beginning of the series. I actually enjoyed it for its story rather than the "plot" and wanted to know how the characters developed over time, finding out it was based on this manga.

This manga was both enjoyable and painful to read at the same time. Within the first 40 chapters of it, you will know that you are in for a long and bittersweet ride.

The story is good, if a bit plain. A boy and girl living next to each other find a hole in the wall they share, which causes chaos and misunderstandings throughout.

As said, the story isn't something to necessarily write home about, but the characters and their interactions make this much better. Several of them are easy to relate to and grow invested in. Many of these people bring something unique and fun to the manga. These people often left a smile on my face and I found them people I would like to be friends with.

Additionally, the characters showcased some Japanese etiquette in a weird way that I found refreshing. In Japan, people avoid sharing with others how they really think and feel about the world around them in order to maintain peace and avoid any conflict. This is a manga that can portray that side of things very well.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this series, but due to the pain train you go through, I would likely avoid reading it again. This series would have been rated higher by me, but I don't personally agree with a lot of the direction the story went in, especially roughly halfway through the series. To me, it felt like some characters were forced to betray their nature in order to make the series drag out a bit longer.

8/10 from me.

Nozoki Ana review
I'm starting off this review by saying this is the best romance manga i've read, its a beautiful story that tackles self hatred,Love, heartbreak and all the troubles with young love.I teared up on 3 occasions(partly cause of the music i was listening to) cause i really felt what the MC was going through during those moments, it showed me that humans can be so fragile emotionally it just takes one little slip and you end up in a depression spiral. In terms of characterization while i didn't particularly like the MC at the beginning i started really digging him during the middle of the manga, the female MC was absolutely phenomenal loved her so much while the other characters felt either too frail or too easy so they didn't peak my interest too much.
For the story of the manga it all poetically comes together at the ending in a very beautiful way, while some of the problems appeared to have gotten tackled too fast and easy i enjoyed the way they got tackled and learnt some life lessons from them, i enjoyed the constant tips the female MC gave out about human nature i had lots to learn from her several quotes. While for the art the most i can say about it is that its pretty good for an ecchi manga i mostly just enjoyed different shots of the female MC as she had the most unique look in the series. Bringing it all to an end i feel like this manga really had an impact for me transitioning as a young adult and am glad to have been able to stumble upon it.

Nozoki Ana review
Honest to god don't know how this manga is so positively reviewed. I enjoyed Aku no Hana, i enjoyed Sundome, i enjoyed Forget Me Not but this manga was an absolute travesty.

This is literally 90 chapters of the MC wondering why the girl next door is masturbating to him having sex with his girlfriend, her literally saying i love you, you make me wet, i want you... and then when she moves out
hes on the floor crying " I LOVED YOU MAIN HEROINE..."
:v

The following 20 chapters are the tragic background story of the main heroine that we didn't get until now. Thats right we spent 90 chapters with a girl that we know absolutely nothing about, no hints, no nothing. :D
The whole theme of the manga is "to show your true self" but ironically enough we don't learn a single thing about the main heroine until an info dump in the early 100s.

The manga is is only 117 chapters long.
The sex the MC has with his girlfriends are pleasurable to look at and his 2nd girlfriend is treated like trash as the MC wonders if he likes his girlfriend or likes the all to convenient female next door that masturbates to his presence.

I should've known that the manga wasn't for me from the start...
literally every relationship is initiated by the female meeting the MC and instantly wanting to fuck him. The MC is so wishy washy that whenever he sticks his penis into a female he instantly just forgets everything around him and instantly "loves" them.

The word love is thrown around alot in this manga. Meet a girl and bang her up for a night is an act of love. Finger the girl next door in a closet while you watch your friends have sex is an act of love.

I was literally reading this manga just to see if it ended like sundome... with the MC getting cucked... that would've been a fucking troll as fuck ending but instead we get a final volume that has like 60 pages of forplay talk.... like im talking just kissing and talking... for DAMN NEAR 60 PAGES.
and then a time skip because we needed to fill more pages with more needless exposition. And then it ends... no grand finale or anything... it just sorta ends...

Point me to a manga that has a dude beating his meat to a girl by watching her have sex with her boyfriend and find that "romantic" and give it 10/10 - 9.5/10 ratings and maybe i will update this review... but for now... This manga is a waste of time :D
