Highly, highly underrated and definitely flying under most people's radar.

Think all the goodness and awesomeness of Konosuba! without the comedy.
Think about that. If you take all of Konosuba!'s comedy away, will it still be good? Objectively speaking, you've got - solid and consistent characters, clean and appealing art, world mechanic that gives you a feeling of consistency and wonder at the same time, perfect execution and timing to pull of elements that will tug the audiences' hearts e.g. in Konosuba! - jokes, expertly crafted dialogue, etc. So yeah, the answer is - hell yeah, it is! It checks off every box on the list!

World building
- Honestly, the world's mechanics as the story progresses is working towards the MC's convenience of progression. That sounds boring right off the bat on paper. But what makes it interesting is that the world is pre-built to antagonize the MC SPECIFICALLY.

Progression: Character
- I've never been so excited for a MC character progression like this in a long time. Most times, other IP's limitations and rules will make their MC fall short of what they ultimately could be just for consistency and drama. If they ever reach an ultimate form of OP-ness, it usually is executed horribly roughly, downright disgusting, with the feeling of getting cheated on because it just came completely out of left field.

Here, the components to allow the character's power level to attain incredible levels is so well made that the transition is as smooth as it could be, even with a flat type of character, without boring you to death.

Bonus (Semi-spoiler): Aqua and Eris
- I have no idea if anyone involved in making this story has a relation to Konosuba!, I haven't dug down that deep with it's creators yet. But the existence of these characters and their dynamic has made me realize why i like this IP a lot! There's just so many similarities to the feel of well, everything. It's like if Konosuba! was not a comedy title.
- The characters role in the world are different here, extensively the story. And that won't be disappointing at all. In fact, you'll welcome the idea of what they are and what they could be. Try to spot the similarities between the A & E here and the A & E in Konosuba!
- This is as much spoiler as i could give you.

Progression: Story
- Without going round the bush, the story complexity is simple but consistent. You've got a MC who wants to do something right from the start which sets off your overarching plot and goal. The fun is in the trials and tribulations MC has to go through to get there. You will get a sense of adventure that doesn't break past it's foreshadowed elements too much. For me, it looks to be grounded this way to be able to pull off the next part which is super important for this kind of story type.

Execution & Timing
- What can i say? It's like perfecting the craft of comedy without it being comedy. Hmmm. In hindsight, there are comedic relief parts to control the pacing and tension of the story. That just shows why this is such a well made manga even more.

Art
- Clean & readable while keeping it interesting. I'm not qualified to give you an accurate 'similarity comparison' with another artist. But i'd say, again, like Konosuba!

Don't get me wrong, like any other title, we still have the usual suspects that annoy some people who has attained a certain anime-veterancy. But the approach of the author to solve these tropes 'problems' are so well done that you could only spell out the words 'genius' and 'innovative' to describe the authors. (Even Deus Ex Machina! Find out how DEM was smoothly done and solved.) Don't let the title tags fool you. If you shy away just because of the POTENTIAL negative traits that come with a tag, i promise you, it will be okay, they(authors) took care of it.

The only thing i don't like about this title is that the sales numbers must be on the low end of the spectrum so serialization & publishing of the title seems to have come to a crawl.

I wish more people would give it a read or two.

P.S. If mods will allow it.. My first MAL review! yay! :D
