Shingeki no Kyojin review
Fascinating horror manga about humans vs. Titans (these giants that vary from 4m to 50m tall who eat humans -- although not really for nourishment, they just like to kill/attack).
Manga follows a group of kids who witness the slaughter of their families and who vow to train to become soldiers to reclaim their territory and wipe out the giants. It sounds pretty lolwhatever but it's actually really scary, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Part of it has to do with the way the giants are drawn imo -- they look like deformed humans with big stupid faces (although some of them have intelligence too) and the scenes where they are snacking on humans (the drawings of giants pulling humans apart or stuffing them into their mouths head first or chomping them in half are so eerie) creep me out big time. Appears to be a lot of back story that the mangaka can explore, like why the giants eat humans if they survived just fine for years without humans to eat, why some giants are "deviant" and have intelligence, what is Eren's secret, etc. I can't stop thinking about this manga. Hope more is released soon!!!

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou review
"This gentle calm and quiet is the twilight of an era.
I will probably watch the passing of this twilight age." Content: The stories featured in YKK are mostly light and melancholy. Readers who are used to action, sex, fanservice, violence, and/or intense drama would either be A) disappointed, or B) surprised that stories without the said elements could possibly exist and still be enjoyable. YKK is characterized by mono no aware, a Japanese concept that describes beauty as an awareness of the transience of all things, and a gentle sadness at their passing. Entertaining old customers in a coffee shop, riding through desolate roads on a scooter, reminiscing while watching the sun set; none of these are close to being earth-shattering and yet the author somehow presents ordinary scenes in such a way that they evoke overwhelming feelings of nostalgia. Being reminded that today will be tomorrow’s yesterday, one cannot help but appreciate the present for its fleeting existence. Literary Style: Ashinano’s style of writing is radically different from that of other mangaka. Rather than using the typical cliches and standards of comics and animation, the author’s style is more similar to those used by writers of literary novels and short stories. Using motifs and details to imply themes, skillfully combining images of everyday life with colloquial monologues and dialogues to produce visual and verbal poetry, it is obvious that, while YKK is appropriate for readers of all ages, it requires a mature and understanding reader to fully appreciate this work of art. In fact, his method of implying themes through details might remind some of J. D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye. The characters, the plot, and the details don’t just represent themselves as components of a work of fiction, they reflect the reality of everyday living. The characters act naturally and events unfold as they would in real life: without fanfare. This makes it easier for the readers to relate with the characters and believe in them. As the characters develop, the reader may also find their revelations relevant to his/her own life. In a sense, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou may in fact be one of the few titles which are actually worthy of being called “graphic novels”. Visuals: Ashinano’s character designs are simple yet charming. The faces of the characters are very expressive, effectively bringing out the characters’ moods and personalities. As one goes through the volumes, it’s also quite interesting to see how Ashinano’s style had improved through the years (the series ran for 12 years, after all). What really makes his art stand out, however, is his awesome ability illustrate the setting in fine detail. Gusts of wind sweep across vast fields of grass, the lights of a submerged city continue to glow beneath the ocean waves, roads and towns once bustling with life now stand derelict and abandoned; the scenes often invoke feelings of nostalgia as if the writer and the readers had been there themselves. Later on in the series, Ashinano starts using more and more of these images to enforce or sometimes even replace the dialogue to deliver his message to the audience. Overall: Well, it looks like it’s all downhill from this point on for anime/manga because I don’t think I’ll ever find anything close to being as good as this series. Sure, I’ll probably stumble over a few other well-written stories out there, but I really doubt it if they would be as emotional and as thought provoking as Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.

Salacia: Waga Hakugin no Mermaid review
This is... Bad. Very bad. Poor story, execution and art and one of the worst manga I have read in a while. Oh did I mention explicit fan service of children.
Story - 1 The basic concept might have had weight if written by... Anyone else. An us vs them and child soldiers OK. But it's dished out by exposition, explaining things in very silly manners. It's just set dressing to get literal children naked. Art - 1 Boring, flat, poor direction. This combined with it's amateur quality gives it it's low score. I thought about giving it a 2 for it's robots, which have at least some design qualities. But it doesn't deserve it. Characters - 1 I can't really explain how much everybody's character JUST exists for exposition and getting naked. Enjoyment - 1 I... was cringing and rushing through just to get this finished. Seriously why Is this rated better than Smash Bomber, at least that manga has some cool art! It's not worth reading. Unless you like children's boobs. Then maybe it'll scratch your itch.

Ore no Pet wa Seijo-sama review
My Pet Is A Holy Maiden Is a Story that I thought looked fairly interesting. At first, I was being very cautious cause I've seen stories that sounds like this and they all turned out to be a disappointment. My Pet Is A Holy Maiden Is no different sadly.
Now keep this In mind that I read this when My internet Was down for 4 days and I had nothing else to do but read this. So My opinion should actually be more favorable towards something that will give me something to do. I think you will see that My opinion Is not that favorable. Straight from the start, The story just Isn't all that enjoyable. We are told the MC's family has all died and the story really makes sure you understand that they are DEAD. I feel that the story could've easily just had maybe the father died? Maybe If the story Is really insistent that the MC's life has to be utter shit, Then Maybe the Mother as well. I don't see the little sister needing to be dead or even exist. Me personally, I feel the story would've been better with a girl MC instead of this guy. Have the little sister be the MC Instead. I think It would've been all the more interesting to see this girl with the only family member around being his older brothers Pet bird. I'm not even saying the story needs Yuri In It with a romance between Chiko( The Bird ) And the Little sister. Obviously, Me being a man of culture, I will obviously prefer Yuri But I realize that's asking a lot. But If the story Is really wanting to do an emotional story, Then imagine how much more interesting It'd be If the story was about Chicko and the Little sister living together while they each deal with the death of the family. Have the Little Sister be the red hearing of the family where no one really pays attention to her and instead focuses on her more successful Brother. So have the sister be really bitter and angry a lot. Then the family dies and she takes care of the bird tell Its death. When the Bird Is a human then have both of them deal with the bad blood between the both of them. Honestly, I feel kind of bummed cause we aren't gonna be getting this. Now I actually made notes on my way through the entire story about the things I dislike. The MC is shown to be really depressed, He dropped out of school ( Something I didn't like) Shown that his Dad's Aunt Is now taking care of him and that she Isn't that interested In doing so. Shown that Nothing good Is going on In his life and Is made even worse when his pet bird dies. It was to the Point where the MC was actually putting a Knife to his wrist to try and kill himself cause of how shitty his life Is. Then the MC Is brought Into another world and before anything Is even said. His depression Is completely gone and they never really seem to make mention to It besides It coming up once In every 4 chapters. Originally I was expecting something else and was kind of bummed at what we got. I originally thought the story would have some Holy Maiden ( I'd imagine she was a very sarcastic Teenager and after when she returns to her Human form she was turned Into a Holy Maiden and Is forced to carry out those duties ) be cursed by something and she was turned Into a small bird and sent to another world. She ended up being taken In by some boy and ended up becoming a Pet Bird even though It was against he wishes ( I was really hoping that throughout the story she'd be unhappy that she was taken by some dude and treated as a Pet) Then when the body of the Bird reaches the end of Its lifespan. She returns to being a Human and the story starts from there. I think this sounds more interesting and entertaining then what we got. ( Side Note) I feel that If the story did what I said In my last Point that It would've been interesting to instead see the story of some Sarcastic and loner Teenage be turned Into a bird and we get to see her as she reacts to everything. I'd imagine She'd be grouchy throughout the story. The MC doesn't even tell Chiko to not call him " Master" At least tell the point I dropped It at chapter 19. just about every story I've come across would have the MC ask her to call him by his name and not something that seems weird and something a Slave would be forced to call someone. The world building In this kind of sucks. It just isn't interesting to me In the slightest and found myself being bored a lot. The weirdest part about the World Is that the Church Is actually a caring and peaceful organization. Like this Is Blasphemy! I don't know one Isekai story that doesn't have Religion be evil! Something else I found to be a disappointment Is that I was wanting the girl's Personality to be more rough and cold then this always happy and always willing to do whatever her " Master" Tells her to do. I mean she did live an entire Human live and Is even older than the MC The same exact day he Is brought Into this new world. He has already accepted the really absurd claim that the Women In front of him Is his Pet Bird that died a couple days ago. Like he doesn't show any hesitation at all and Is just like " What? Your the pet bird that I've loved since the start??? Ok" Like I'd be kind of pissy If someone tells me they are actually my just recently dead family member. The MC ( In case you haven't noticed It. I don't use his name because I can't be bothered to learn It) Can be very demanding. A perfect example Is when both him and Chiko were going out and searching for a house. He was saying things like " No, Not this one. It's too big" Or " I don't like the Neighbors" He doesn't really seem to understand that he Isn't buying this house and Is actually being paid for by his former Pet bird by not just money but also her Social Status. He doesn't take In the fact that It Is much safer to live In a Noble mansion then It Is to live in the middle of the city where all the criminals have access too. He also seems to forget that most people live In rundown shacks In this world and don't get the luxury to chose where to live. Especially someone that Just appeared In the city and has no money or social background. The MC Is just not good. I had someone tell me when I was hesitant to read this that He actually Is likable. I don't see how. He and I'm not even kidding. He Is the perfect example of the Japanese trope where " Boy with a shitty life Is brought to a fantasy world where he get's the women and powers!" Sure at first he doesn't' have powers and I thought This was actually a nice surprise. But nope! Cause he slowly starts getting these powers and he Is some special type that rarely exists. Also, He has an awful personality. The dumb dram that I was calling the moment I heard about how Popular Chiko Is. I'm talking about everybody getting jealous that this random dude Is now the fiance of Chiko, The worlds most popular girl. Someone will say that he Is just a Commoner or an X. All this happens and Is painful for me to read through. The story can at times have trouble telling us who Is in a conversation. Sometime the story will just suddenly jump to a new set of people when we were just listening to both X & X talk. The story has these weird moments where It get's really sexually weird for this type of story. We get some moment where the MC Is going Into really deep detail about Chiko's breast or how he keeps looking at Chiko's Butt or Thighs. Then the Last chapter I read before I dropped this ( 19 ) Has some dude rip off Chiko's clothes and show her breast. It's like the author Is trying to make this cute and lovely world with these two characters. But his sexual desires just keep creeping up and making Its way into the story. The MC can be annoying. Example being a battle happening. The MC has no combat powers or Magic ( That he can use at the time) Yet he rushes off into a battlefield and tells Chiko " let's leave!" Even though Chiko Is one of the most powerful Priestess In the world and Is one of the only people that can stop this possession of her friend. Yet, It takes both Chiko and some dude I'm too lazy to explain to tell him to leave cause He will just be more of a burden. Chapter 19 Is where I dropped this cause I don't see the story turning this around. I feel It could've been better but just wasn't.

Tama Kick review
This was an intersection one for approaching the PI role with a supernatural twist
But I did feel disappointed with the ending of each chapter they get wrapped up too quickly it hardly feels like justice or retribution was served or not And all those idol girls in the plot "my god" they get involved with more sex scandals than a American athlete dose in there entire career The twist towards the end was pretty good but hopefully I'll see more on this later Also it does get a bit unsettling that all the sex cases involve a good bit of supernatural hypnosis.

Holy Knight review
This review contains spoilers.
WARNING: RAPE. After watching the ova, I decided to check out the manga. Things start out well, the background plot is your basic half vampire being hunted by the church, with the ecchi twist being that the main character is descended from a great exorcist and she wants his baby. The art work is great, and there's not much separating the sex scenes from hentai. Unfortunately, none of those scenes, at least in the first 17 chapters, are consensual. During one of the vampire girl's early attempts to seduce the MC, his innocent childhood friend who's in love with him shows up. Vampire girl's guard dog (in human form) decides to use magic to hypnotize her and then proceeds to rape her, just for fun. MC later finds out, but is powerless to prevent it from happening again, and she ends up pregnant. Not much bothers me when it comes to graphic or sexual content, but this kind of thing just makes my blood boil. Overall, the solid potential this manga had is marred by the completely unnecessary rape subplot.

Kyochuu Rettou review
Oh boy, here we go again.
This time, instead of Zombies, we got bugs. Yep, bugs kills people. And a very huge one. Of course we got a load of girls and some guys. And a lot of... uh... fanservice, like borderline hentai. The story is kinda ok, its about MC who stranded into an island, also a survivor from plane crash, finding survivors, get out of island... right? From the point of whole manga series, the biggest, biggest weakness is Character. As I mention, I don`t even like character a lot. We got a MC which knows a lot of bugs behavior, yadayadayada, I know everything type character, she is pretty... quite capable, but humiliated by some shitty people. And of course she just obeying them. Talk about side-character, we got a "pretty helpful" comrades and "fuckin kill this shitbag" character. And one lucky dude who still survived. And yes I`m wondering why I changed my tone because I don`t like it. Art was pretty great, to be obvious, despite of fan-service, it has way detailed on bugs and "r18g" stuff. But I think even art won`t save from bad writing story and character. I give it 3/10. Of course this book still haven`t finished yet because the sequel named "Dai Kyochuu Rettou" which is a new chapter. I wonder why it didn`t stick to same title anyway.

Ikoku Shoujo to Sumire no Hanataba review
This manga really ain't that bad. At first i thought it was wonderful. Art is great and plot is nice, especially the comedy really good. As things got interesting suddenly in the last two chapters you can feel it really rushed through that you wont know what's going on in the end. You can feel the author rushed at the end. I guess not all manga is lucky you know? But Damn the manga got ruined at the end. I hope to see more work from this author in the future i really like his style

Gantz:G review
Got no idea what all the hate is for.
As a side-story to the main series, Gantz:G succeeded in every way to provide a slice of the Gantz pie we all know and love. I want to address characters as I see that being brought up a lot. I think it is clear that Hiroya Oku has never been a writer of deep characters, but instead, a writer of deep and satisfying character dynamics. For comparison, lets take a look at Gantz the original. Like it or not, not many of the characters are fleshed out and developed. The only big change we see is from Kurono evolving from his nihilistic self after Tae gives him purpose. Characters like Reika and Kato (As much as we love him) stay the same sentimental, and goal wise. Furthermore, none of the characters bond and develop together. Kato and Kei's relationship is explained in the first few chapters and stays the same for the next 300. Same with Reika + Kei. The rest, characters like Kaze, don't interact meaningfully with the team at all. This is one of the few points G holds over the original. The entire story is centered around a group of varied, low affinity girls, and we witness as some of them draw closer together or further apart as their emotions and opinions clash. The character writing is much closer to that of Inuyashiki than Gantz, which makes sense since it was published closer to the former. If you've already read the original Gantz then I don't need to say anymore; you know what to expect. Shocking enemies, gruesome deaths, nice art (Nicer than the original), all accompanied by interesting character interactions and dynamics that the original lacked. Ultimately, it is a spin-off, not a sequel. In its short 18 chapters it manages to give readers a sweet slice of the Gantz we know and love along with great story elements the author has learned and polished in the span of the original's ending.
