I just want to start out saying that this is the first manhua that I have ever read. I have never read any webtoon, manhua or manhwa prior to this series.

This will be a pretty basic review of what I've read up to this point. I read them all in one sitting, and I was quite intrigued on how good it was. I'm very glad that this was my first webtoon.

I just want to express how great the artwork is. The format is so immersive that it feels like you're "reading an anime", not just because it's a manga with color (although that's the main reason), but the panel layout and artwork as well.
The art is extremely like One Piece with bits of Bleach. The art is so good to look at while reading every bit that I found myself already saving over 100 of the pages by favorites alone. I looked back at the first few chapters after catching up, and realized that the art greatly improved. It has become more consistent and refined, somewhat identifying with its own style.

The story is intriguing enough and the humour + the protagonist are two other things very reminiscent of One Piece. Some may call the protagonist "generic", but I don't care for labels like that. He's a character that I love, and I love characters with colorful and light-hearted personalities like Wu Di who just don't care a second about trivial matters and love expressing themselves through their dreams. I guess you could say that I am very similar to these type of characters, which makes sense why they are my favorite and personally land for me.
It seems that the author had everything down-packed including structure and character introductions, so it's a shame that a story with potential for longevity was cancelled so short in. Because of its "battle shounen" style, it might not be for everyone, but I certainly enjoyed it. Overall, I found it to be a relatively good manga and I'm glad it was my first manhua read. :)

Zui Wu Dao is a exploration into a sea of mediocrity and a is truly a masterpiece of making me wish I pulled the trigger. I dreaded pulling myself through this manhua, as it hurt me to read this since I prefer to not drop series. Nevertheless, Zui Wu Dao has succeeded me in annoying me enough to the point of dropping it.

Story 3/10 - I am actually generally like the of powerless people rising to become one of the strongest, so I suppose this score is graded lighter than it should be. What infuriates me is how they barely give any overarching goal or answer what the next step is in the story even though I have read 1/5 of the entire manhua. They don't tell you any reason for why our character wants to become a strong martial artist other than his missing father was one which they state in a very brief scene. We have no reason to actually keep reading except for a a tournament that our character is looking towards going to. Nothing happens, so whats the difference between reading this or spending time equal to reading this watching paint dry?

Art 3/10 - I am willing to give the artist some credit with his drawings. The manhua is in full color, even opting out of lazy single colored characters and actually including shading. Other than this single quality, looking at this manhua wants me rip my eyes out save a few certain scenes that were barely passable. The backgrounds are all poorly drawn with little effort showing being just bland, generic, covered with white clouds, or just straight up pure white with no color. The character's design and expressions really make me wonder if I should take the easy way out. Their expressions fail to make the reader feel anything. When the main character is presented with a serious situation, the face that he makes looks dumb and unfitting and doesn't work to convey the actual situation they are in. When the faces are trying to be used to create a comedic situation, which are littered throughout the story (Hint: None of them are funny), are stupid and annoying, which only is made worse by how this is how the characters faces are presented 90% of the time, which is what it feels like. Seriously having to constantly look at him crying or acting funny almost forces me to put this down immediately. Overall, watching paint dry unevenly would still be more appealing to look at than this manhua.

Characters 1/10 - I absolutely hate the characters in this manhua, probably the most I have disliked a cast of characters due to how poorly written they are. For the main lead, we are given no reason as to what his aspirations are or any reason as to why we should care for him. He just so happens to be special, and have a "special" body because the plot so demands it, and we aren't given any reason as to why this is. The next character, the kids mentor, is a annoying cat that has a clashing personality. The cat is tried to be played as a wise mentor, who has gained much knowledge due to his age. He should be this powerful and dark figure, but he is shown to be this annoying, hyperactive creature. He feels like is a cross between a character created by a 6 year old and a edgy 16 year old who's parents never loved them. The design is edgy, but the actual character is loud and obnoxious. The other characters are bland and generic rewrites of character tropes with none of them being notable in the slightest, and the reader is never given any reason at all to care.

Enjoyment 2/10 - This rating would be a 1/10 if not for the fact you can watch the kid get almost sliced in half (Which if he did this would be a 3/10). I hated looking at the annoying faces because they were obviously screaming that they were trying to be funny, which they really weren't. I dislike the random "because plot" element that is presented because none of the events would happen normally. There is no way this kid would have a special body and happen to fall off a cliff to find a sword and this legendary cat creature thing, which really annoyed the hell out of me. The tasteless fan service scene where the main character finds a, what I would assume to be another soon to be main character, bathing is obviously present because clearly this manhua is not above that. This is probably the most worthless read I have ever had the displeasure of reading.

Overall 2/10 - I am being very nice when I give this manhua a 2/10. I think it deserves a 1/10 because of how un-inventive and meaningless it is with it's writing. It shows what a truly bad story is, a copied idea that doesn't change anything, and gives no meaning in its message. It fails to create feeling within the reader other than wishing that you had shot yourself rather than read this piece of crap. If you can, just skip this and save yourself the time that I wasted, hoping for a good story.
