Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama review
new prince of tennis is the sequel to the first but to me falls short of its prequel.
story: 5/10 i dont give the story a good score because it has no plot at this point. i understand the fact of japan trying to put together this all star team of tennis players but right now there is a bunch of prelims that are too piecey. im not exactly sure who is the main character for the fact that its call NEW prince of tennis so it sort of suggests ryoma may not be the main protagonist and the lack of ryoma's appearance makes me believe that he isnt. the transition from POT to NPOT is awful for those who want to know what im saying read the last chapter of POT and the 1st chapter of NPOT and you'll see what i mean. nothing is really entertaining so far with the story i give it as high as a 5 because i am hoping that it turns around. art: 10/10 art is fantastic characters are still some of the best i've seen in any manga or comic book. Character: 8/10 characters are drawn to perfection but with a continuation from POT so far the characters other than ryoma, tezuka and fuji still have no depth. we still know nothing about all the characters. enjoyment 4/10 there is too much going on at the same time to really know whats going on. the fact i tend to fall in love with the main characters in every manga/comic i read the lack of ryoma and the lack of a possible different main character(i still believe the NEW in the title suggests it may not be ryoma) leaves me at times not wanting to read. plus there hasnt been a legit math between the players its more like some here some there because it seems takeshi is trying to touch on everyone at the same time so ive found myself reading one chapter 2 or 3 time to understand what happened overall: 7/10 the characters are here, the new characters look good. i give it a 7 because i love prince of tennis and i think that once all the extra stuff is over it will be great like the 1st one |
Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama review
May i take the job of writing an updated review for this manga that appears almost dead in MAL but still lives on tenipuri fans.
Story: First with 9 / Now 6 As we expect, Konomi did an awesome work when introducing ourselves to what was the beggining a new journey for the mid-schoolers, but as i did say, the awesome work was done at the beggining, but the farthest the manga gets, the worse the story becomes. It came from building up all characters and it's abilities to ridiculously powers-up that comes out from nowhere. New characters are not well developed as there are many, and all bad things that now come with the manga i believe is because the story went to a road that is even unknown for Konomi. Art : 9 Still pretty good, awesome, it manages to catch the aura and the sensation that i believe the author wants us to feel. For me it's like watching the anime on the manga (Lol), they manage to draw perfectly all players and their abilities. Character: 6 As i said, the story started awesome, and it became something that i can't understand. Ryoma instead of growing up, it became someone i wanna punch, can't believe they became the main character from being "cool" to be someone who doesn't have clear it's toughts in almost the whole series, seriously a big disappointment for me. As for the rest of the characters of Japan, the new ones are pretty well developed, but for the lastest episodes, one must read and judge. Enjoyment: 9 I still got the same hype that i had when i watched the anime, the excitement caused by the matches causes you to want to read more and more, this is the main cause that i still follow this manga. Overall: 8 One must read the manga to understand some changes on it. If you have liked POT the anime or the manga, i recommend reading this manga, but for me it gets bad gradually. May i be frustrated on how the things turned to be at NPOT now, but i will still say, the further it goes, the worse it comes. Yours to decide. Yorokonnnndeeee~ |
Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama review
As Tenipuri's loyal fans, of course this one is A MUST-READ manga I have to follow. Mochiron da! Like I always accepted from Konomi-sensei' style work this adventure sequel of our oujisama-tachi is awesome as the prequel.. but with fresh stories and plots. They all are now facing special training from high-school level!
Our hero-guys from all tenipuri's school that we've known very well appear again with its each main members. Seigaku, Rikkaidai, Rudolph, Hyotei, Yamabuki, Shitenhouji, Higa,NagoyaSeitoku. They're all chosen as 30 special middle-school tennis players that participate in U-17 (high school level's train). Ryouma who's still studying in USA also has been called, so he came back to japan again and reunited again. Some of low-level high school players were beaten by Ryoma and our young in friendly-match. but then they have to face unique trainings by facing their own friends, teams, and themselves. Good job, Konomi-sensei! |
