Otokomae! Beads Club review
*Gag*
What a nightmare of a story. There was minimum originality, yeah maybe the characters were pretty weird but they had no character backgrounds, the reader knows nothing. There are no explanations for anything. It couldn't get anymore unsurprising, no surprises, no suspense, the story had no twists, no aspects that would remain in the readers memory, it was as straightforward as a straight line, think about that. The illustrations were EXTREMELY plain, to the point that they looked almost the same. I'm actually frustrated that I found the summary interesting. The story couldn't have been anymore directionless, sloppy would be an understatement. The author could have done so much with the story, it had a lot of potential, from detailed illustration to, at least, SOME character background. I found that the story was a dreadful waste of my time, and if you read this; which I am strongly not recommending, it will be a waste of your time as-well. |

Warning: most of review is me babbling on about this manga, this might be long STORY: This manga was pretty good. Not as good as beast master and it isn't even in the same LEAGUE as Dengeki Daisy(then again, not many manga are) but it was really enjoyable. (it was written before these two, so he wasnt as experienced) this one was pretty cute The story was pretty decent, i wouldnt say amazing, but a 7 or 8 out of 10. If I were you I wouldn't mind, though. the mangaka only had a few chapters to fit it, so if you consider that then he kicked a*s..(not with the Black White Day side story though. it was pretty cliche)i also like how the whole romance thing is usually resolved pretty quickly without the huge drama of it i most of his manga ART: well, as for art, all i can say is..AMAZING as always!! Kyousuke Motomi always has such great work. this one didnt shine as much as his others, but it is still way better than most manga. you dont have to get used to the characters being ikky to enjoy it, caus they arent. his art style is very pretty and just gives the characters a nice aura to them. it will mke you smile. he is one of my favorites for art, equal(not surpassed by, i love them both, as i do others, just cant remember em now) to jun mochizuki(pandora hearts, especially the cover art, ). Character: the characters for this are all pretty funny.i love the bead club. they were all so hilarious when they would go undercover.(like in OHSHC) takumi was very likable to me. so was tebuki. the "crow messenger" name was a trip. all in all, good characters for such a short manga. it shows you the mangaka really cares Enjoyment: ummm...... wat to say beside i really enjoyed it? it was a fun read. i highly recommend i to people who are either bored out of there brains reading loooong mnga, people with commitment issues, or people who love kyouske motomis manga(im this one). Overall: im soo tired of typingggggggg. overall, good, cute, funny, not super super cliche read(except the side story with the girl who got chaeated on. that one was not-sogood,very boring and cliche, but its not even connected to bead club, so dont worry) ok ok ok ...i recomend you read it. im very sorry for the super long review.if you haven't read beast master or dengeki daisy, you HAVE to read them(ESPECIaLLY dengeki daisy) dengeki daisy is not the steariotypical shojo. the characters actually have flaws, but motomi takes that and embraces it, and it makes it just that much better.(i like how most ofhis female heroins aren't exzactly the same(in one chapter stories i understand somewhat if they are, but he usually does a good job about it)theyre not whiny prissy freaks.yeah they cry, but it'sfor reasons that are understandable. READ da BEAD!! did i really just say that? thanks for actually reading this looong review. |

A very cute and funny manga. The art was very detailed, and I must say each chapter makes you laugh your heart out due to the characters' own personalities and expressions!:) It is definitely a must read and I absolutely want to recommend it for those who are on search for a hilarious, shoujo manga to read!:))

This is one of the most random stories I have ever read. I was expecting a bit more from it, but it was still pretty good.
Story: As I said, random. It was interesting, but pretty predictable throughout the whole thing. The side story “Very Dark White Day” also wasn’t that good. There’s not really much more I can say about that. Art: The art was decent. It was a quince style, and I found I really liked it. It was a bit award at times, but overall it was pretty wonderful. Characters: The characters are very original in their own way. The way they interact with one another is really enjoyable to read. There’s at least one trait in at least one of the characters that anyone should be able to relate to. Enjoyment: Not the best series I’ve read, but definitely good for its length and plot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to read comical romance. While the romance is enjoyable, there’s another underlying theme of acceptance, which ends up completing this story. As stated before, it’s very good for it’s length, and since it’s so short it wont take much of your time to read. |

It was a pretty cute manga. It wasn't the most exciting, but the artwork was good, and it was a cute read. If it were like Bleach where new episodes come out often, and you have to watch it religiously, it wouldn't be worth the read, but for a cute short story, it's worth it.

Art: The manga is nicely drawn, especially Takumi (the mangaka is the same of Dengeky Daisy and Beast Master).
Story: It's very simple and easy to follow... The girl, who's very strong and manly, transfers to another school where she hopes to find love. She will then join a beads club who's president is a "scary" boy, Takumi, who's also, with the other members of the club (all weirdos) part of the secret school councelers. I think the manga is a bit too short, it doesnt say much about the story between the two main characters, neither about Takumi's misterious personality (crows are always following him). I would reccomand it to someone who wants to read something short and not very sentimental but still cute. I really liked how Takumi was drawn, I think that's the main reason I chose to read it. For sure not the best manga from this mangaka. The manga is ok, nothing special though. |

This was one of the best one series manga I ever read. It doesn't bore you and it could keep you laughing if you love to laugh.
I loved the plot, it wasn't hard to understand at all.. it's just this one sentence. 'A manly girl whose looking for a guy more manly than her.' To me, it seemed like that, but there's actually a lot more to it than that. I give the plot an 8: it didn't screw around everywhere and it wasn't too deep in the ditch. Something that would help keep time passing by and to keep your spirits up. The art definitely deserves a 9: Idk why, but I really seemed to fall in love with the drawing technique. I was more drawn to the art than I was to anything.... mostly. Characters... ahahaha, they deserve a 10 for being really epic. They really keep the smile on my face. Enjoyment, of course a 10. Even though it was only 3 chapters for the main story, it was worth reading. It didn't waste my time at all.. So if you really like short stories to keep your spirits up, I recommend this. ♥ |
