I've got to say, I'm not the best review writer in MAL. In addition, I haven't wrote any reviews at all. This is my first manga review, which I will be telling you guys how AWESOME this is.

As you guys can see this is a typical sport and shounen manga. To those who don't like shounen or sport, then maybe this manga isn't for you.

STORY: 10
The story line for KING GOLF is kind of cliche, like in every sport manga. First, you meet the protagonist (Sousuke Youki), who isn't interested in the sport (delinquent or plain; in this case delinquent), however later on, he shows to have a potential for that sport and then he loves it. That's how it is. But this manga is a bit different as it focuses on GOLF.

To be honest, before reading this manga, I didn't really think that golf was that interesting. This was one of those manga that I thought "why not read this for passing time?" But I have to say, I do not regret reading this at all.

ART:9
Many of you may not like the art, as it certainly isn't the very best. Moreover, the main character has weird dreadlocks. At first I thought "Okay... the main character having dreadlocks is unusual", but as you gradually read "King Golf" you get use to it and end up loving that hair (admit it). The manga artist often draws "serious art" when the characters are in playing mode. However, when it focuses on the comedy side it changes to "chibi art" or "weird faces art".

CHARACTER: 10
I gave the characters a ten, because my only reason is that I DON'T HATE ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS. All the characters in this manqa are lovable and have a certain personality that you can connect with. Especially the main character, Sousuke Youki, he isn't like those delinquent protagonist that just has a bad temper because they can't achieve something. This dude is something else, HE NEVER GIVES UP and that's one of the reasons why I love this manga so much. I love it when the main character doesn't give up and continues to work hard.

ENJOYMENT: 10
Not only does the manga focuses on golf and explains how the sport works, but it also contains lots of comedy (I'm a huge comedy fan). Thus, it makes the manga even more entertaining.

OVERALL:10
Overall, I believe this manga is FANTASTIC. I give it 10/10 and will recommend it to those who like SHOUNEN, SPORT AND COMEDY manga.

- If you like a delinquent character with a potential sport skill, then this manga is for you.
- If you like a cliche sport manga then this manga is for you.
- And if you like characters that have a NEVER GIVE UP vibe then this manga is for you.

It is one of those creators of manga that could make the bleakest moments in chess be as heart stopping as in a war. The swinging and walking to the next spot in golf was like the swings of punches and running for their lives and the reaction, oh the reaction. It was so unreal but still expected in a manga. Eyes dilated, and mouth overstretched, nostrils flare. Shockeness and sadness in King of Golf equals that excitement in winning a lottery. Sure, unrealistic as said, but since it is common, thus accepted, it is interesting. When an adult man losses a candy, in manga, he would cry his eyes out. It is an exciting over exaggeration accepted that of cartoons. Though it needs a certain talent so as to not overdo this thing and the king of golf certainly accomplished the requirement.

To me, Golf is boring but I wonder though, after reading King of Golf, what would happen if a delinquent walks in that field. Would it be as exciting as the manga successfully did?

== Story ==

A delinquent finds its way in a golf course. His motivation? Same as any healthy teenage boys. He then meets a rival. A good rival I might add. Not those annoying ones. Success surrounds in this rival and the hero is just starting up. Talents developed due to his lifestyle as a delinquent and personality, we found our way to an unlikely circumstances of his unbelievable potential as a golfer, might become a King, but of course self proclaim since as delinquents, they are all about rep and being at the top, i.e. King, King of Golf

Certainly not boring. The manga is allergic of this. Rules in reality applies so I'm quite learning a lot in golf. We'll also be introduced to various kinds of competitions, where different skills in golf are prioritized.

== Art ==

It has its own style. The faces and drawing style is unique where we can easily recognize its characters. The shapes and noses, and eyes are enough to identify a person. So it was good. Not stylish like those intended to be cute. Generally, its style of drawing is like those fighting anime/manga like ippo or baki.

== Character ==

The hero decides to change course from being a brawler/delinquent to a golfer. Impulsive as any other fighter. In fact, characteristics like high temper, dominating, rep caring as those obvious of a delinquents is just like our hero. Still, I think the best way to describe him is his perseverance. Never give up. Do or die kind of view in life. He will grow and learn after the many trials as he struggles to get a grip in is club. There is a narrator in this series. Not wordy but enough for my taste.

== Enjoyment ==

No need to say I find this manga exciting. Sure, his struggles is interesting, but what I find more attractive in this is its rivals, opponents and conflicts. They portray, some of them, childish like attributes. Fun

burp!
