This manga is my dream come true.
1. It's fantasy 2. Main hero is great in every aspect. No, I have no problem that he's totally OTT! 3. Plot is within its genre quite original, after some obligatory power showing-off cliches, it starts being fresh and unexpected. 4. Art is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! I just love it. I love traditional Asia-inspired clothing, weapons and everything. I was reading it all over again just because of this, my all-time-favourite (alright, there are some better, but these are like... oneshots) A-R-T! But. Id left me with broken heart. It stopped. They stopped publishing Id! My perfect manga. Whenever I'm not careful and accidentally open the folder, I catch myself reading several chapters. But there is no more. Do you know that kind of despair? If you want to avoid it, never get involved with Id! (I would love to read the novel, but I couldn't find any proper translation. Should I learn korean to read this?) |

Epic .
That's ID in a word .This manwha is painfully overlooked .So painfully that it makes me want to cry .MAL gives this a rating of around 8.31 (as of the time this review is being made ) and I have to say it's not worth a single point less .Heck ,it might even be underrated .Well ,lets get on to the actual review . Story - 8 You've got to give ID credit for this .The plot is one I think everyone should find interesting and at the very least ,not boring as long as they aren't being forced into reading it .With very few filler chapters to sap your flow ,I think that story-wise ,it's not the best but nevertheless provides an interesting concept that is followed throughout the manwha .I have to admit that at first ,after seeing the summary and looking at the first few pages of both the first and second chapters ,I wasn't impressed and so dropped it for a while .This might be the case for many other readers as well .Do NOT stop however !!They say not to judge a book by it's cover ,and this is an excellent example of that . Art - 9 This ,I think ,is ID's greatest asset .At first (perhaps due to the version I read's quality )I had it marked out as having mediocre artwork .That's what I thought until I had gone through about a score of chapters .The battle scenes especially are very well done with a large amount of detail .The character's emotions are very easily portrayed due to the effort put in their facial expressions .Art is this series strongest point and it gives any reader a hell of a time as they flip or click their way through pages . Character - 6 If ID is said to have a weak point I would say it lies in it's characters .Do not misunderstand however .That only means the characters aren't as good as the rest of the story's aspects .While ID doesn't focus as much on character interactions the way anime like Bakemonogatari does ,it's characters certainly aren't sub-par or even mediocre so do not feel discouraged .Many people dislike overpowered characters and so might be put off at first due to his seemingly unbeatable power ,but the MC is not overpowered considering there are people that can defeat him .In short ,ID can be said to have reasonably good character interactions and character designs at the very least . Enjoyment - 9 This manwha was definitely not a waste of time .Keeping you in suspense as to where the plot would lead as well as being extremely well-drawn .I can proudly say that ID is a must-read for battle manga lovers .Even those who generally find action manga to be weak should enjoy this due to it's splendid artwork . Overall - 9 And so my review ends .I highly recommend ID to manhwa-lovers as well as those who limit themselves to manga and anime .This heavily overlooked work should definitely be enjoyable .If that doesn't assure you check the statistics of this manhwa . Hers's a quick survey for you (Based on date of the review) Of those who have read it ,49.4% have given it a 9 or a 10 .When including those who rate it an 8 ,the number rises to 75.9% .The numbers speak for themselves . |

I loved the manga, I have read a lot and this is by far my favorite of them all.
The art throughout the manga is fantastic, I havent seen any better so far, If i am correct in thinking i have read it all then it could of expended, I dont know if it is still ongoing or not. The main thing I wished had happened is for it to possibly be turned into a anime series... |

One of the few battle manhwa's out there that i actually enjoyed .
First of all the story is very good and entertaining . We don't have allot of unnecessary characters , useless information like how that worked or that or anything like this . Characters are quite well done , with ups and downs , we have a bit of romance as well , not too much but it's there and it enough . Artwork is quite well done . Aside from Id whom you could easily say he is a female all the rest are pretty normal proportioned , so no 19 year old girls who looks like a elementary brat . |

I'm going to start off by saying that the publisher of Id went bankrupt. That means that Id was cancelled over 4 years ago and will most likely never continue. It's safe to say that Id "ends" at chapter 178 which feels sort of disappointing because we're left in the middle of an ongoing conflict where the main antagonists or "masterminds" aren't even confronted yet.
Ignoring the manhwa's cancellation, the story was really nice for me up till the "end." It had an overpowered main character who could still realize he needed to learn a thing or two, people who were constantly dumbfounded by his power, and a lot of fighting. The problem with the fighting part is it was so badly drawn. You could hardly tell what's going on because the artist doesn't know how to depict fighting in a still frame. Imagine being in a dark room when it's daylight outside, trying to read a book using tiny slits of light that are barely making its way through a thick curtain WHILE you're on the other side of the room. It gets better, but barely. There were a few characters I liked and a lot that I questioned why they were even being introduced since more than two-thirds of the people Id befriends end up being sidelined or used as a backdrop. Still, I enjoyed this manhwa even with it being axed. |

This is a very entertaining fantasy manhwa. It has an interesting story and none of the characters are irritating. There's even a little bit of genuine romance which is nice to see for once in a story with a lot of fighting.
Definitely a good read for anyone who likes fantasy action stories. |
