Fukumenkei Noise

Although Fukumenkei Noise is a relatively new manga, I am sure that it will become very popular in the future. It's an amazing story and you should give it a chance. Hopefully, this review might clear your doubts on picking up this series.

To be honest, I picked up this manga on a complete whim and didn't expect anything from it. The cover is slightly interesting and the synopsis provided was quite bland. It was pure luck that I began to read it, but I'm really glad that I made this choice.

When I started reading it, something miraculous occurred. I was hooked. Completely and utterly hooked. Here's a small piece of advice for you: Don't judge a manga by its synopsis. This manga is so much more than that. Albeit a bit cliché, it's meaningful, entertaining, filled with suspense, and contains many more elements than what is provided in the synopsis.

Story (10): Fukumenkei Noise is an absolutely amazing story. It has just the right amount of suspense, excitement, romance, and is surprisingly down to earth. It's a story that you can relate to. It's quite enjoyable and is a pretty good read. Although it sounds just a little cliché, it's actually a unique story. It's one of those stories that you can't help but stick with. Trust me, the plot is fantastic.

Art (9): In my personal opinion, the art is much nicer than a lot of your typical shoujo mangas. The main characters are actually pretty gorgeous, and if you're not careful, you'll be falling in love with them yourself. The mangaka truly is a genius. The characters are all drawn amazingly, the backgrounds are satisfying, and there's plenty of eye candy too. In short, the art is pleasing.

Character (9): The characters are all pretty deep. They were really well thought out and seem to have a lot of insight to them. The main character isn't a weak girl. She's a strong character that realistically portrays the feelings of losing and missing someone important to her. She's powerful and evokes many emotions throughout the story and I have to admit that she's one of my favorite manga characters of all time. Although she was hurt before, she gets right back up on her feet and keeps singing. She has a burning will, determination, and passion. No matter what, she will not give up. It's like she's a flame that stubbornly refuses to be extinguished. This girl is dedicated. The two main guys in this story are both complicated characters that have several reasons that they act the way they do. Okay, okay, and they're both just so adorable. When I say adorable, I mean hot, lovable, cute, etc. These characters are quite atypical and are all deeper than they seem. I could go on and on and on forever about how amazing all the characters are, but I don't want to make this too long. There are no annoying characters in the story. Most of the characters will grow on you. Give them a chance by at least picking up the first volume. You won't regret it.

Enjoyment (10): I really did enjoy this series a lot and hope to see it grow in the future. As I mentioned earlier, it's one of those series that you will enjoy from the beginning, and it's also one of those series that you're most likely going to stick with until the end. Before you dismiss the idea of reading this series, you should definitely give it a chance. You'll never know what you're missing out on until you give it a try. It might just become your new addiction. It certainly has become mine. The manga is completely outstanding and will definitely be climbing up the ranks as it progresses, so don't hesitate to check it out.

I try this manga out fo curiousity cuz i heard its quite popular. Then i read the first chapter although, to be honest, i dont like the art style which is too confusing and seems not neat. But i keep continuing to see the the relationship between yuzu and the MC. Finally i dropped this manga around chapter 70 cuz it just becoming more freak and nonsense.

After reading this manga to be honest i dont quite feel anything or remember there is something important. The MC always trying so hard to chase Momo and when she finally get a hold of him. She became unable to sing???!! LIKE WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? And after they broke up she become able to sing again? CMON, HOW CAN SOMEONE LOSE THEIR VOICE BECAUSE SHE IS SOMEONE GIRLFRIEND AND GET THEIR VOICE BACK BECAUSE OF BREAKING UP! this is completely stupid for me and so so so freakk. Nino always sing like an idiot all the time and it just piss me off.
Not only that, this manga also told us to speak about our utmost feeling, so there is this guy who love his brother fiancee, and finally he confessed to her. Hey hey hey, its ur brother fiancee, how can u do that, do u not have any self - esteem?. Speak about ur true feeling is important for sure, but its not necessary in all circumstances. LOL

Overall i think this manga has a lot of freaking idiot things. BUT, IM NOT SAYING ITS BAD, ALTHOUGH ALL THE REVIEW ABOVE IS INSULTING. I pretty enjoy reading it rather reading newest shoujo manga with stupid and annoying female MC who is head over heels for the boys.

I picked up this manga after recognizing the art style and finding out itd have a anime adaption further on in the year.
This anime is great, it isnt ok, its just fine. Its a good manga, compared to many others.

( My first thoughts )
This manga is about a young girl called Nino, having an unusual singing and two childhood friends she meets but suddenly disappears when shes younger want to 'obtain' it, and keep it to 'themselves', and wooow what a COINCIDENCE all of them meet in the same highschool. And oh noo, both of them are famous masked musicians.

Overall; The Manga story is overall good, the story behind musicians is a great story. Its about two highschool rivals fighting for a spot in the music community while fighting their own family problems, while being a masked band. If i were to rate this part of the manga alone, id give it a solid 8.

The characters introduction; Ill skip the main character ( Nino ) for later.
Momo, the second character introduced in the manga. Ninos childhood friend/neighbor who also faced parental problems as a child with Nino. As he suddenly moves away to another neighborhood causing Nino to run out of class to meet our second character. Yuzu, the third character, a young boy who was banned from making music sheets by his mother and was later on hospitalized, every wednesday he escapes from the hospital to see Nino his new child friend. Finding out Nino had singing ability, making him want to write for her. Calling her 'My lost voice', later on he gives her the nickname 'Alice'. The encounter with Nino makes Yuzu influence the other kids he meets in the hospital to start a band with him when hes older and thus, the story was born. A band made for Alice, Yuzu's lost voice.
Momo on the other hand, serves as the Antagonist, a rival for Yuzu, after they meet up in highschool.

The art style:
The art style isnt great, it is bad either. Its understandable and mostly i dont let art styles bother me when reading.

The story:
Fukemenkei noise is about the main character Nino who joins a band with her childhood friend Yuzu, hoping to meet her other childhood friend Momo in the music industry, and thus, her first love.
this manga mostly focuses on the romance and the backstorys and the side storys of the other characters. And Ninos hoho wild singing.

The factors ( in my opinion )
The characters are way too clichéd.
Nino our protagonist has a special ability, is extremely talented, has long hair, has a wEiRd so random1!11!! personality and makes her different from everyone else.
And oh no! Two of her childhood friends who she didnt forget by the time she got the highschool are both in-love with her and never met anyone else during middleschool ( what even happened during middle school? )
And ooohh noo she has to fall in-love with the first male lead who keeps on telling her to 'go away' and that 'he doesn't want to see her'
And ohh noo the second male lead also has a childhood crush on her
and both of them miraculously meet again in highschool, despite the fact that our male lead supposedly moved away, and both of them are musicians.
And shes so special that no one can control her and theres been NO ONE ever like her before, and shes so special that ive never met another girl besides the main character in my life!11!! and thats there no other equally talented singers besides her111
and shes the only one for me1!11111

Overall; The story is good, theres some comedy and its ok, i had a few weak laughs. If i could take out the romance in this story, itd be a way better manga, this manga focuses more on the romance then the actual music, focuses on how ~~love~~ effects her singing. But ive only read about 32 chapters. If i could change the way the protagonist falls inlove with the main male lead, or how the second lead falls inlove. That'd be great.
The only thing I'd change, is the main character, she's so dumb and annoying, I wish itd focus on yuzu and glasses, they are so much more interesting. This manga would be so much better if nino wasn't nino.

So, id say, give it a shot. This manga is worth a read. If your a fan of these types of romances, its worth more then a 7.

Well its my first review technically.

Woooooo what a doozy.

This series had its fair share of ups and downs. When it's good, it's reaaaally good, but there were also times in the middle wherein it really took everything from me to keep myself from pushing through and reading this.

When you think about it, there is really nothing much new to the story, I feel like you could read this type of story somewhere else. And the characters really aren't that good to begin with either. In fact, I was annoyed at both Nino and Momo at the start. Come to think of it, if you were to ask me WHY I actually got to finish this, I don't think I can give you a definitive answer. Nonetheless, this series did have some good things into it.

My first favorite thing about this is the ART. I love the artwork done here especially during their concert scenes. Honestly, whenever I read them it makes me feel like I'M on their concert as well so that's a plus for me.

One more thing I like about this is the character development of everyone (besides Momo which I will explain later). The character development of them really took long to happen. I guess in a way this is what you can call as a slow burn? Anyway, the development I like the most was Yuzu. Honestly, I feel like Yuzu is a big reason that made me finish reading this. I wanna talk more about it but I really don't wanna spoil a lot to you guys. As for Momo, this might come off as spoiler-ish, but I honestly felt like he wasn't given ENOUGH screen time for me to actually root for him? Like sure he did have some scenes but not as much as Yuzu and the others had.

Anyway, this series isn't necessarily something I'll recommend to anyone because I feel like this series had its own niche. However, if you like a lot of angst and some rock n roll, then maybe this manga is for you.

Fukumenkei Noise is a new manga that I bet will be very popular. There are only 14 chapters translated at the moment, but I think people should know this manga is good and give it a chance.

Story(8): It's not original, but good. I could provide a better summary than the one on MAL, but that could spoiler the story. To be honest, the summary didn't attract me one bit because it seems cliche, I picked up this manga because I simply liked the cover. This story is about music and love.

Art(9): It looks typical shoujo, but it has something special. The characters looks different and are unique in their own way. I personally loved the art. The costumes are gorgeous and the backgrounds well done.

Character(9): The main character, Nino, is a girl who loves two things: her childhood friend, Momo, and to sing. I can't tell for sure but I think her development on this story will be based on those two things. She's very attached to Momo and her feelings for him make her drive her to make things one would not usually dare to. Some may think she's your typical, shoujo heroine: innocent, always cheerful and without worry in the world. That's where the manga shines. She's not like this, she has an unique character. She's not just sitting around waiting for her prince to come and pick her up, she does everything in her power to find him. She's not perfect either which only makes the reader love her more because she seems more real. About the other characters, they are unique in their own way. Sure, there's the rival girl, the ladies-man, the childhood friend and the boy who likes her but they are different than the typical stereotype. The rival girl doesn't act like a brat who deserves everything, the ladies-man has an unrequied love, the childhood friend has his reasons for the way he's acting and the boy who likes her as well.

Enjoyment(10): The story got me hooked on an instant. Why? Because it's not predictable. You can't tell what's going to happen next, how will the main character react and so on. Most chapters will end with a cliffhanger.

I totally recommend this refreshing manga for anyone who's tired of typical-shooujo stories.

TL;DR: By the end, you only care about the side characters. If you're reading this for the love story or the development of a main character, you will be EXTREMELY disappointed. Try something else and don't waste your time, I've already made that sacrifice for you.

Summary: Although I love the art and (most of) the characters, I really can't say that this was a good series. The plot was very congruent for the first half of the series, and although a bit cliche at times, it made you invested in the story and to see how the characters were going to grow and change. But all of that investment and attachment gets thrown out the window for the second half of the series, as the main characters fall apart, their actions don't make sense, and you end up feeling like you're on a merry-go-round watching the same "who will she choose?!?" trope drag itself out. By the time the end does come around, you become tired and irritated by the main female lead and her partner, and really only stick around to see how the side characters ended up.


Spoilers ahead, you have been warned:

STORY:
The most irritating part of the story is in fact the love triangle. The main female lead spends 80% of her time in the series with a character she will not end up with, and she ends up with male lead instead (second most frustrating part: the male lead has no personality, but even if he did you wouldn't get to see it because he's barely in the story at all, and he has more character development with a female side character. I genuinely thought they would have ended up together because the author kept putting so many scenes of the two of them together).
I have no issue with the main couple being together though, they had been setup to be together from the first chapter, and it was clear the author was going to have them together at the end very early on. And I did enjoy the love triangle at first, because usually in love triangles you see two characters pair off, and the third one usually incites the romance between the other two or helps them overcome obstacles that would have led to the end of their relationship if not for the third's external help. We also usually have an ending where the third character is able to move-on from their love interest and grow as a person, and typically results in them finding a different character to be with that is better for them than the love triangle.
Now mind you, the main male lead is supposed to be Momo, the character the female lead ends up. But since we don't have character development for Momo nor have many chapters with him in it, we have Yuzu who essentially is the male lead, but also will be the third in the love triangle who is singled out.
Yuzu goes through SO MUCH character development, and even reaches the point where he is ready to move on from his doomed love triangle and make his own happiness. And yet despite being on the right track, the author decides to continuously throw him BACK into the life triangle and stunt his character growth for MULTIPLE CHAPTERS, usually because the female lead goes through several moments in the series where she breaks character and acts as if she has feelings for the main male lead (Yuzu), which I don't think anyone was confused about who she was going to end up. It genuinely felt like the story had a set plan of how the characters were going to progress and when it was going to end, and then the author was told "Make 30 more chapters!" And instead of including new content or introducing new characters for our main leads to interact with, the author instead decided to just remove the character growth and continue the "Does she like bachelor #1? Or bachelor #2? I don't know, because I can't give her a consistent personality!" It was *very* frustrating, and by the end I just wanted to know if Yuzu was able to continue his character growth or not.


ART:
As other people have already stated, the art is beautiful, and a large part of my enjoyment from the series came from how beautifully it was drawn. If you're not used to Fukuyama's art style, certain things may seem a little over-exaggerated, but they have an uncanny ability to draw various and conflicting emotions on a character's face that feels honest and real.


CHARACTER:
With the exception of the main female lead and the "main" male lead (Momo), all of the characters were actually wonderful. You get a feeling throughout the manga that the two main leads are kind of separate from all the other characters, and unfortunately that feeling stays until the end, but although [Momo] feels slightly more attached to at least SOME of the characters, the main female lead really only feels connected to 3 characters at best.

Ugh.

See summary. It could've been SUCH a good manga, and going from Charming Junkie to this, I'm just so disappointed with the author.
