Apparently this is just two basic short stories concerning the Ultimate Detective : L
This one is not my most anticipated Chapters or "Files" of Death Note for sure, but i liked it

We go through: A Normal Day of L's life in the first story and,
A small Reference of L's past as a child(First day at the Wammy's House)

Story: Watari is present in in both stories and he seems to narrate both of them. You get at least interesting hints about L's past and how he actually led a normal life as a detective. Some doubtful questions like: Do L takes Baths and How He got into solving cases- can be found here. But be warned you might expect much but you don't get it.

Art: Takeshi Obata is reknowned for his drawing skills. The duo Obata and Obha also illustrated Bakuman- which is not awesome like Death Note but certainly relieved expectations.

Character: No words can describe Obha's characters- characters of every aspect is found on Death Note example: The Uncanny Smart Detective and his Ulterior Support(Watari and L) and The Underdog Fool(Matsuda) Death Note has contrasting characters which in the latter, gives all power for the minor character to end the story. In this case: The Detective and his Rapport decorates the story. I think most fans wanted to see more of L as a kid and how he was like- that epic question is answered here, oh but in a little quantity.

Enjoyment: Average. Expected more out of it. But considering Obha's deceptiveness of this story- I'm not surprised. At least i found some facts about L that others may not know lol

Overall: The Death Note story was a tragic one- but the short stories which i read are not so. It just answers the curiosity of the Death Note Fans who adored this franchise. It could be that there could be more Death Note files so I'll give it a 7 for now.
