Shiawase Kissa 3-choume

i don't want to leave a long review on this manga but i would like to start by saying that i am surprised to the max that over the years this didn't get to be an anime, even if it meant OVA.
this anime is the funniest, heart touching, and beautiful story. although it is about romance, it isn't the thing that stands out the most. what i find that stands out the most is the friendships and bonds created between each character, the amazing character development, the comedy/jokes, and especially the drawing. this manga brought me to tears in the end but it has left me countless times in shock from new things i (re)discover and content each time i read it.

Shiawase Kissa 3-choume is a slow pace romance with a 16 years old main character and boys/men around her falling in love with her. She is a cheerful person, which makes her attractive. The main rivals for her love are the two male workers at the bakery she is working for. Both of the men have their dark memories from their childhood.

The story and the characters are good but regardless of this I had to drop this manga. Most of the characters got more or less the same haircut and it is easy to mix up the characters because of this. Also, the dialogs are not clear in my opinion, maybe because of the translation. I found it many times to be difficult to follow the story because of how it was presented and in the end I got so many times confused and frustrated that I was not in mood to continue reading.

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is a manga that gives you the idea of what life brings us ahead of and that we have to stand on our own feet and care for the ones we love.

I was stunned by the artwork and I would have to say that it shows the smoothness within the mangaka's drawing. The characters are so likable that at times you just wish they were your friends.

The story is so well put, these days there aren't any other shoujo mangas that have your typical little heroine and two likable, weird and yet nice guys in them. I love romance, and this type of romance is was its all about. Taking baby steps. Although sometimes I wish Shindou understands how he feels about Uru. Ichirou is so funny yet at the same time he gives me a sort of cool guy aura. Mitsuka makes a really great friend and I hope and pray that the romance between her and her body guard/friend Suzuki. The Abekawa brothers are so funny. And with Sou finally realizing he loves Uru. And last is Uru, you can't help but see how her naivety makes everybody laugh and at the same time love her more!

I especially love the children. They are absolutely adorable and Jirou is my most favorite of them all.

I can't wait for the next chapter to arrive and all I can say is that I give this manga a full 10/10.
I recommend Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume to anybody who loves mangas like these. Especially if you're a cake lover!

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is one of the best mangas i read since Hana kimi. I am sure that if anyone like Hana Kimi, they will also like Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume.
No, its not gender blender. But its cute/funny/ makes u feel happy while reading it. The Characters are amazing, each one of them have thier own personalitay and You can feel different feeling for each of them.
Each chapter hold somthing breath taking. And DOnt get stop when u see the cover *Dont Judge a book by its cover*

=Story= 8/10

The story is funny, sweet and quite episodic. Setting wise it centers on the man heroine, Uru's working life at a cafe. Generally all characters love Uru very much however she is not romantically conscious (at least for a long time). The sparks between love rivals is funny but at times I thought it was repetitive. Also I did think that too many characters (madly) love Uru but again there's less angst thanks to that and that suits the story more.

=Art= 7/10

It's pretty well done (nothing impressive however) but the only point I dislike is that sometimes the characters look so similar (setting wise I know they are supposed to be). The differences are subtle that makes it hard to distinguish characters.

=Character= 8/10

The characters are well done however because many of them like Uru, it sometimes feels like they have similar traits. I like especially how Uru is not a typical shoujo heroine - she is set as a character that brings warmth/happiness with her smile. I also like how our main three characters seem to have a warm family-like relationship with some subtle romances between them.

=Overall Enjoyment= 8/10

It's definitely a good light-hearted shoujo manga to read (especially when there are so many shallow ones out there now). Worth a try if you like sweet and warm interactions between the characters.

Shiawase Kissa 3-choume is a great weekend read. While I found the characters very likable, the pacing and conclusion could have been very off-putting depending on my mood. If you're looking for some hot shoujo romance, you may want to postpone reading this series. But if you're looking for a steady, more slice-of-life kind of feeling, then I can highly recommend it.

The main character, Uru, falls into a reverse-harem kind of situation where everyone surrounding her is captivated by her effervescent positivity. Even as the reader, I was attracted to her wide smiles, extroversion, and boundless energy. It was a nice break from the more quiet, melancholic heroines I've recently gone through. She actually has some personality that makes you think, "Oh, yes, I can see why a story would be centered around such a person." Of course, the mangaka had to make her romantically obtuse in order to string along the various storylines, but that's not such a bad thing.

The pacing of this series is bizarrely life-like. Rather than skipping from holiday to holiday and vacation to vacation, the entire series spans less than a year. Characters reference "yesterday" much more often than "a few days/weeks ago," which is uncommon in shoujo. The mangaka introduces so many complete characters that upholding all of their side stories keeps her busy enough without having token episodes like Christmas, a beach day, or a trip to the amusement park. In fact, you should be surprised to learn that there is no "first day" chapter, which seems like a staple ingredient to any successful shoujo. While unconventional, I think that this actually speaks to the quality of the series' characters. Their realism carries along the story naturally, and you can genuinely buy into most of the relationships.

Selfishly, I will note that I was dissatisfied with the romantic conclusion, even if you can see it from 100 miles away. By chapter 1 you know whom Uru prefers, but as the series progressed I was more convinced of the merits of the other males. I think the mangaka became aware of this, too, as she constantly sets up Uru's coworkers as "formidable opponents"...not distinguishing the eventual winner. As a result, the mangaka kind of copped out in the last 5 chapters and made suitor #2 leave the scene, essentially crippling him as a romantic interest. I preferred him, so I was particularly annoyed. Considering the quality development of all the relationships, I feel like the readers deserved more detailed and conclusive endings.

All in all, I was disappointed by the ending, but did not regret reading the series.

If you like romance. This is the manga you should read. ;). It's a pretty slow romance story though. But it really contains much comedy, that when your parents see you they might thought you are crazy laughing infront of the computer. ;D. Well, basically, it's about some cafe workings, and some love is sparked out. It's like a LOVE TRIANGLE. Wait, -corrects myself- it's like a LOVE PENTAGON! Woah. Incredibly exaggerated.

I really like this manga. It's somehow my best though it have slow romance in the manga. But the storyline is really great. ;). It's like so funny! People who like Comedy can also read this manga. ;D

I don't want to write a long review about Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume, simply for the reason that I don't need many words to describe it.
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is a warm and funny shoujo manga. The romance is very slow, so some readers might get impatient.
The manga has a warm and comforting atmosphere which is caused by the sympathetic characters and a humorous, heartwarming plot.
The art is very nice and fits the manga pretty well.
The characters aren't outstanding, but they don't feel like flat characters and it is hard to hate any of them.
I recommend Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume to everyone, who wants to cheer up or just likes to read warm stories. This goes for both genders.

I really liked reading this manga in the beginning. It was really funny and the characters were likable. The everyday life in the cafe was really fun to see and the chemistry the characters had was just right, the only problem I had with it was towards the ending the author put in the new plot twist that wasn't even really needed, in my opinion. They probably just put it in in order to make the story longer and then the whole ending was basically a mess. Made sense, but seemed too rushed and sudden.i still really loved the characters but the ending kept me from giving it a higher rating

I came across this manga title while searching for shoujo manga recommendations. And am extremely glad that I picked it up.

The story revolves around an naive high school student Uru. Quiet dense when it comes to understanding feelings and such. She joins a cake shop as a part timer and the manga chapters evolve with her daily encounters with the people she is working with in the cafe (all handsome guys :P) and the people she meets along in her days at the cafe.

Well, I like to give things I like reading a 10/10, and I absolutely enjoyed reading all 53 chapters I have read so far. The story is very simple in nature, a slice of life theme actually, but is very enjoyable. Its one of those manga you just sit back, relax and enjoy reading in your leisure time.

Characters again get a 10/10. Uru's naivety is well presented throughout and looks every bit believable. Shidou-san shown as a seriously looking guy though really handsome also has a soft side to his personality. Ichirou-kun is a bit *ahem* perverted, naah .. not really he just has a crush on Uru so he does the things that he does I think. And i personally loved the character of Abekawa Sou. Absolutely adorbale when he blushes. The Manager of the shop is plain funny.

Art gets again 10/10. Well drawn. And I would give a special 10 for the hilariously dumb expressions on Shindou-san's and Ichirou-kun's faces most of the times.

Overall- An absolutely enjoyable reading filled with lots of comic moments. Just read it to know more :)

First thing, first. If you don't have patience, you won't get to what this manga is really about. This is the type of manga that repays you, if you get to the ending. I started reading it as a cute shoujo with cliche after cliche, but what I got in the end was tears, both of sadness, first, and joy. As for the characters and story as a whole is just a generic one for a manga, with stereotypes, but that doesn't take anything away from it's charm and great ending. So even though the art is not great and the characters aren't developed properly until the second half of the manga. The twists and turns will put a smile on your face while you'll cry. By now, I should have foreseen something like this, but I had no idea that a cute manga like this could get so emotional.

FLUFFY. Hai, hai. It’s so fluffaye I’m gonna die!

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume is one hell of an oh-my-i-can’t-stand-this-anymore-I-have-to-squish-them-gaaaah-so-cuuute type of art! Chibi drawings of Matsuzuki Kou are really funny. Although it’s in the romance genre, I could say it is more of a comedy skit. Every scene is just, LAUGHABLE. I think I just inhaled all the laughing gas in the world while I was reading this manga! XD It’ll lighten up your mood by 200%. Yes, I dare not kid you.

Our heroine, Uru, is a simple short girl whom you would assume to be vulnerable. Demo iie, she is tougher than you think. Other than the everyday comedy skit of this happy girl who is adored by everyone, she has a past that is waiting to be revealed. The once light and fluffy story turns out to be a deep dramatic one! Don’t worry though. Its fluffiness won’t be down even by a .01 point. Just you wait.

Shiawase kiss sanchoume is the kind of manga that makes you..Happy. :) I love this manga so much! the people in it are vary beautifully drawn, and the story is charming and funny. :) i love Ichirou the most. ^_^ Romance, comedy, school, sweets and much much more! I really love how (so far) nothings gross or perverted. Perfect teen manga. everything is so beautiful. i cant wait for the next chapter. and when i can, im going to buy the other manga vols.

= Story =
- This story is fairly slow. The development is slow. I'm not one to like slow plots, but 'Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume' is a definite exception. At the end of the story (82 chapters + side stories), the mangaka says so herself that the development was meant to be slow which makes me love it even more b/c she knew what she was doing.
So the plot is just the 'go with the flow' type of plot (Fairy Tail). Uru starts working at Bouheur cafe along side Nakamura Ichiro and Shindou Satsuki. Things just go with the flow from then on out. The plot is pretty basic, though there's not really a solid plot to begin with, so you don't need to think much with this Shoujo manga. So yeah... simplistic, yet quite enjoyable. -

= Art =
- I absolutely LOVE Matsuzuki Kou's art style. ALL her males characters are either extremely cute, drop dead gorgeous, or both. If you look at her different outfits for each character, you can see her range of ideas as well. The reason I gave art a 9 though is b/c most of he characters look the same. I mean, some make sense. Esp. if they're related (brother, cousin, father, mother, etc.) But either way, most of them look too similar and there isn't really anything differentiating them so you wouldn't be able to tell the difference if 2 similar characters were wearing the same outfit. But I really love her art. So as a manga reader, I give her a 9. As a person who is envious of her skills, I give her a 10.(But the final score is a 9.) -

= Character =
- There are quite a bit of characters in here. However, you have a real connection to the majority of the characters to you can remember they're names pretty easily. The development, again, is rather slow. Uru is slow. She's thick headed, naive and ignorant. I use all those words to describe people like Inoue Orihime, but I really like Uru. She can get a bit nosy here and there, but she's really likeable. Shindou... oh my good God. You can't dislike the man in any way. You can't help, but love him. Ichiro is the oddest of them all, but of course that makes him the easiest to love.
There is one thing about this manga that you may want to know.
Uru literally has pursuers EVERYWHERE. There are... 4 people who love her (in the romantic sense) and there are the others who love her (in the 'I want you to marry _______' or friendship sense).
The characters' back stories are also quite tear jerking. After you learn a few things about each character and then there's a side story about them, you can't help, but tear up. I've read this manga 3 or so times and I always tear up each time. They impact me even after a few weeks of reading it. So again, slow character development, but it works. The characters are lovable and adorable and ... oo-la-la. I really love them all. -

= Enjoyment/Overall =
- I was a little scared when I first read this. The genres are comedy, romance, Shoujo and a few others, but those are the main ones. Romance in Shoujo mangas are... questionable in terms of reality. This manga was slow, hence emphasizing key points in human interaction and emotions. Romance played a role here and there and the comedy was everywhere.
I obviously enjoyed this very much and I would STRONGLY recommend this to anyone who needs a good read to kill time. Really, really loved this.
Oh, one thing I forgot to mention (if you've read this far); the ending is sweet, but there isn't really much closure. The mangaka says a few things about the characters, but i kind of wish the ending was similar, or gave more insight into the future, like the ending of Fruits Basket. though the ending was adorable, I still have so many lingering questions and thoughts. -
