Kaiki Romanesque Gekiga: Skull Man review

In short: if you're planning to read this manga other than for pure historical/educational reasons - don't bother, it's a complete waste of time.
Story is predictable to the T. And while it has some good in it, too cartoonish art totally ruins any serious approach. It's like reading Umberto Ramos comics - the story may be dramatic, sad & serious, but Dear Lord, that art is simply inappropriate for that kind of story.
Main character is not even an anti-hero: he's exactly what he's been called by others - murdering psychopath. "I'll get my revenge even if the whole world burn" (not an exact quote, but you get the idea). What the Hell. He's full of himself and not sympathetic in any aspect. He's even got that typical maniac villain laughter, and I'm not joking - he's heh-hecking in every damn panel.
This manga may be was innovative and all at the time of release, but now it's nothing but a laughing stock.
