BALANCE DAYS review

A short, sweet one-shot about two students through swimming.
My impression: "Pretty Good! =D"

Story (7/10) Good
Not bad. The story was a bit short, so it felt a bit rushed. I felt like there was a need for a couple more pages here and there, but overall the plotline was Good.

Art (9/10)
The art is similar to that of Takeshi Ohbata's Death Note. I never dreamed that I would see a replica of his art made into some sort of one shot romance manga.
I liked how the characters were drawn; its not too detailed, but everything is there right where it is supposed to be. The characters are drawn beautifully (especially the girl), so thats that.

Character (6/10)
I felt that Mizuoka wasnt your typical protagonist with "shy and timid" as the core of his temperament. He's more down - to - earth, and he is calm and cool - headed.
Hino also seems like a slice - of - life character. No unnecesary blushing, none of that. What we get is a girl who genuinely wants to learn how to swim, and spend time with Mizuoka.

Enjoyment/Overall (8/10)
I found this via Mangafox while searching for completed, non yuri, non yaoi, and non shoujo manga. It had 92,000 views and only one chapter, so I gave it a shot. It was short, sweet, and it wasnt a waste of my time. I liked it.
Please read this manga if you have around 10~ 15minutes to spare.
