ASA MO, HIRU MO, YORU MO review

"Asa mo, Hiru mo, Yoru mo" has only the barest of shoujo-style plots where the troubled girl with the tragic past falls in love with the incredibly over committed handsome and popular high-school boy despite the fact that she rebuffs him at every turn due to her own insecurities.

On it's own, I don't have a problem with this plot, but that really comes down to how well it's executed and unfortunately in this manga the execution is poor. This is partially due to the fact that the overall story is very short as well as the fact that the characters seem to grow in odd bursts that don't make sense. Heck, I'm still trying to figure out what it was exactly that made Shinobu "thaw out" so quickly.

In addition to the poor story and characterizations, the art quality of the book is also sub-standard. Not terrible mind you, but below what you might consider competently executed.

Wrap it all up and you've got a short little story that is better off being given a miss.
