Ouroboros: Keisatsu wo Sabaku wa Ware ni Ari review

I came to read Ouroboros as it was suggested on the Sanctuary page, and all in all it was a great recommendation.

Overall I enjoy reading Ouroboros, but reading it right after Sanctuary is unfortunately making me see it as weaker manga... They both have the very interesting light and shadow theme, but in Ouroboros the Shadow one (Tat-chan) seems to have not much more to do in his daily life than rescue his baby brother... I wish the story would portray both characters equally and not make one a side character with a weak background... plus the fact that help goes only one way makes the main character looks weaker, whereas he might not be..

The overall plot is quite interesting, but since the author keeps adding somewhat unrelated stories in between the advancement of the main plot, we could be there till the end of the century.. I understand that these stories are not completely unrelated and help to depict the world of Ouroboros but it slows down the main story too much in my book (I like short, intensive stories more than longer ones).
