Solo Leveling review
It's so freaking awesome!
It's the very first time I've seen some well-written overpowered character.
Solo leveling tells the story of Sung Jin Woo, the most weaker Hunter of Korean, at least. The first 11-12 chapters introduce us to how the world around works, which class do what and the whole thing. It really annoying in some way, because it don't show you the very potential of the story itself. It hard to swallow, but after that comes the best part till the end. In introducing chapters we see a weaker, boring and cliche protagonist that we all have seen in most other series, but take it from me, after these chapters the thing changes to a whole new level. We see the start of his evolution, all the way through, and the character development through that. There's the thing that makes it cool. The way that show us the fights, the skills that he acquired through time, the whole thing is magical. One thing really awesome about this manhwa it's the pages format. It seems made to read on a mobile device, cuz the way the scenario moves, the way the characters does too, dope af, I think it's the most positive point about this series. So colorful and well made.

If I had to stands out something besides the pages format, it's, of course, the dungeons and the bosses. It's so dope and astonishing at the same time. A variety of scenarios, every boss has something to add in some way, no matter what. And that's really beautiful to see.

I hope we get the second season as soon as possible, I can't contain myself!

It's my very first review, sorry for any grammatical error or something else. Wish y'all enjoy this series, see ya.

Koe no Katachi review
*Warning: spoilers for Koe no Katachi (Manga) ahead*

Koe no Katachi is a story about bulling and heavy themes likes being ostracized, so you already know it’s going to make you cry.

It’s a really good story with a very gripping plot, but it’s not for the faint of heart. It explores the discrimination and ostracizing/bullying that takes place in school, and it’s not done with finesse and subtlety. It’s really open about this, and I find this to be an admirable quality of the story. It also isn’t drama and tragedy just for the sake of having it or to make you cry, it carries actual meaning.

It has a nice average length as a manga, and as such doesn't have problems with pacing and filler. Some people have found it to end abruptly, but that I think has to do with what they expected/wanted, not what the manga had set out to do. It says what it wants to say and ends on a strong note, with an uncertain but bright future. Think along the lines of Steins;Gate’s ending.

The main pair and how they interact is the star of the show. Given that Shouko is deaf and mute, everything she expresses is done so visually, both in hand language and facial features. It’s the extreme of visual storytelling, where the main characters interact without much text at all, in a similar manner to the main characters in Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki. The group dynamic when the whole cast is together is also great, and everyone faces their own monsters in the same way Shouya does. This is a story about redemption through and through, and about owing up to the past, or to oneself.

Given that the story revolves around this communication without dialogue quite a bit, I’d have expected the art to be cleaner. In that sense, I expected the artist to use fine lines to capture the subtly of human facial emotions. Instead, it’s rather rough on the form, and the lines themselves are very inconsistent. I don’t think it’s a bad art style by any means, and the way they adapted it for the movie was sublime. I think it suffers from that inconsistency, and the artist certainly did not make it easy on himself. He does the backgrounds beautifully, and the inking is great, and then the lines defining the characters don’t fit the mood of the scene. It’s some great art overall and the only real problem is that inconsistency, that and his choice of screentones can become repetitive.

Koe no Katachi a smooth read, and not an especially long one at that. It flows well, and the plot and themes make the story very engaging, at least it did for me. It’s the type of manga that can have you empathize with and understand the characters, while also making you utterly despise others. It’s a great quality to have, and for such a rollercoaster story with heavy themes, I’m glad it had it.

Overall, it’s really good, but it’s also pretty sad. Especially at the start, like holy shit what a way to start the manga. That first volume gets heavy right off the bat, and even explores some touchy aspects about the way in which children and adults act.

It’s a 10/10 from me, whatever merit that has.

Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria review
I've only read two volumes so keep in mind that this will only be a review of these two volumes. Also keep in mind that the only LN I've read are NGNL (upto V6) and kizumonogatari, and I'll try to keep this review spoiler free.
Volume 1:
So you must have watched a lot of TV shows or anime which deal with time loops right? This volume is also that except when you see the genre-Action, Mystery, Drama, Horror, Romance, School, Supernatural, Psychological, Thriller- quite a lot right? but notice no Sci-fi! Now if you've watched the dreaded Endless 8 of Haruhi or watched the numerous time leaps in Steins;Gate, you know what to expect. Except it's like Haruhi's time loop where you are told the story from the PoV of Nagato and she's human and everytime it ends like what happens in Steins;Gate. When you don't even know for how long you must observe the same thing happen again and again, not even sure who you can or cannot trust or why this loop was triggered, how long can you keep your sanity how much longer can you try to break free only to be brought back to the same starting point.
Coming to the narrative, it's a first person account usually from the PoV of our MC, Kazuki Hoshino,a completely ordinary high school student who loves idle chatter with his friends and Umaibous, a Japanese snack and his antagonist Aya Otonashi, who suddenly transfers into his class—for the 13,118th time. She majestically announces to "break" him, without paying heed to anyone else around them. What makes this even more involving is the use of multiple narratives. The time loops are not shown in order but rather in a unordered fashion,i.e., you see the 10000th time before you see the 600th. You slowly learn more about the characters and how our MC struggles to keep himself sane, this is all I can say without giving off spoilers.
Volume 2:
Now there is very little which can be said without giving off the plot entirely but here goes nothing! Just imagine that you go to school just like any other day but unlike other days the people around you treat you very differently and you notice you're missing a section of memory of a particular time, how would you react? What happened to your classmates, does it have some relation with the time loops or a new phenomenon altogether when the only person you can rely on is your antagonist?
What I liked about the second volume is the fact that you can empathize more with the characters unlike in volume 1. Also this volume starts off with a cliched opening but Eiji Mikage pulls it off very naturally
So if you're an avid book reader and a thriller freak this series is definitely for you! There are good fan translations available online, so you can most definitely check them out.
TL;DR:
Pros:
1. Great characters
2. Great plot progression
3. Multiple Narratives
4. Time loop done right!
Cons:
1. It's a novel so no pictures(not that it matters to me)
2.Cliched plot outlines
Rating: 9.5/10(rounded to 10)

Tsubasa review
If you ever get the chance to read this manga, I highly recommend that you do. There aren't many mediums where the story of a "kamikaze" pilot is described in such detail. Throughout the pages of this work, the author explores the emotional and social reasons behind the actions of the brave men who sacrificed their lives for their country.

The character design is remarkably awkward, but it is easy to get used to it. Backgrounds and airplanes are drawn with quite a bit of detail, and the art gives an overall unique feel to the manga.

As one would expect, the major focus of the author is on character development. There are several characters introduced, with different mindsets and motivations. Some of the characters are women, and they seem strong-willed and independent. Characters were pulled off quite well, and I felt attached to the main character by the end of the manga.

Some themes explored by the author are the duty of men and women during times of war, the value of love and friendship, the importance of freedom and the fear and guilt associated with breaking away from the herd. What I found interesting was the fact that the author played with the idea that the men were sacrificing themselves in order to save their mothers or lovers, a sacrifice not at all met with happiness and contentment on the women's part. Hopelessness was touched upon, and the idea that the war was already lost and that the act of sacrifice was useless were ever-present in the story. Despite all that, the author did manage to end the manga with a note of hope, and it seemed that the main character had finally come at piece with himself and found his own answers.

Overall I found the manga an interesting read and was happy that it offered quite a bit of character complexity.

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi review
This manga is truly a waste of potential.

Story: 2/10
It started really strong at the beginning with his reasons for revenge and how he was planning to go about it. But slowly as the story progressed it felt like the revenge aspect was coming second to the "porn" aspect. Every other chapter has a sex scene and it just becomes hard to stomach. Not to mention within the first 13 chapters he already has a harem of three girls. The reason I find this disappointing is because the story had a chance to be a good revenge manga where you felt conflicted because both sides are bad but you choose to root for our mc. Yet adding him fucking multiple girls just to "advance his revenge plan" feels like some 13-year-old boys fucked up shitty fantasy writing.

Art: 7/10
The art isn't the best or worst I've seen. It has it's own unique little quirks.

Character: 1/10
Oh god, this is where the waste of potential hurts me. The mc's reasons were something we could get behind. Same for every character. Yet as the story progressed it lessens. The mc feels more like human scum rather than an antagonist.

Let me start by comparing it to a revenge plot I like, the rising of the shield hero. For Naofumi he still has moral struggles, he doesn't want to hurt innocent people compared to this mc. Anyone (females) he sees that is against him become his sex slave.

One thing I see people argue is that sex is a core mechanic of the story. That 1 he needs to fuck them to increase their level cap. 2 "to get revenge". Personally, it feels like poor taste to defend it. I understand where they are coming from but relating it to other revenge manga makes me disappointed. Because this manga went about it all wrong. It makes our antagonist start to become a man that no one can side with.

For the harem characters. Two of the girls went against him so he's tricking and using them. Then the other one where he uses her want for revenge to get her to side with him. I slowly started to hate them all. Why you might ask? Because this manga writes women so badly, they aren't complex in the slightest, plus the fact that the author makes the mc call them toys. Is just disgusting.

Enjoyment: 2/10
I enjoyed the premise at first. Revenge and such. I enjoyed the story building in the beginning until it progressed. It turned into shitty porn that I could read for free on websites like Wattpad. That is the quality of this shit writing.

Overall: 1/10
Dreadful yes, if you like porn and basic manipulation for horrible reasons where the mc starts to lose any sympathy, then this story is for you!
I love revenge stories but this manga was such a l disgusting let down.

Art - 9 - Everything is quite well drawn. I have no complaints.

Character - 7 - I'm pretty easy to please as far as character development goes, but I often had trouble telling characters apart

Story - 8 - Now this is where things get difficult. I think that the story presented here is a solid 8; it was very good. However, it was incredibly poorly executed and hard to follow. There are so many instances where the reader is presented images with no context. I can't tell if the author is neglecting to include critical information where it matters, or if they are failing to execute some kind of plot twist, but the result is that I was constantly jumping back pages to see if I had missed something (which, of course, I had not). I feel like a lot of this manga could have been saved with more narration, like if the characters would say what they think is going on.
The author is also very bad at conveying where certain things are happening within the facility. For example, without spoiling too much, towards the end of the manga the workers are being pursued by a threat and it's a very fast-paced situation. But then all of the sudden they sit down and start planning stuff and everything's chill for like a week, so we're left to assume they've gotten to a room that the threat can't get to? But then people seem to be able to go get things from other rooms without a hint of worry. And then the threat appears again in the main room we thought was safe with no explanation of how. They just completely fail to establish where the threat is and why they're safe in some areas.

Overall - 5 - I found that this manga had nice art and a gripping plot, so I can't outright call it bad, but I still would never suggest anyone read it.
