Death Note review
DISCLAIMER: This is my first review. Don't be to harsh on me ;).
MINOR SPOILER ALERT
Death Note is known as one of the best Manga of the Manga universe. There is a lot of merchandise, there are even theories about death by Death Notes in real life.
Today I want to talk about this over popular manga.

Story: 9/10
The story revolves about the Death Note, a notebook that when you write a name in it, that person will die. It is a very good Idea, if it is done right. Death Note creators Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba did it right.
They show us how people, who have no specific problems or other, can turn into killing psychopath.
My only problem with the story is how they handle some of the characters. But overall, it was very enjoyable.

Art: 8/10
Very good, but not my favorite. It fit perfect to the stories and characters, and can make you shiver when Light gets a laughing strike.

Characters: 8/10
The characters where all very interesting, L and Matsuda being my favorites from all. My only problem with the characters, is Light.
I can hear the Fan-girls crying already.
Well, let me explain. Light starts out to be a very intelligent young man with the will to change humanity to the better. For the next chapters it stays that way. But at the end, he starts to turn into a psychopath. Don't understand me wrong, I don't really mind when that happens, but not only does he go crazy, his character kinda changes as well.

Enjoyment: 7/10
My enjoyment shifted quite a bit from "This is sooo cool!" to "Are you serious?"
At the beginning, my expectations for this series wasn't high. But then after a few interesting changes in the story , it got more and more interesting. But it dropped down again by killing someone rather important. I quite liked the ending though.

Overall: 8/10
I quite enjoyed it, even if it had a few this and that's, but I would recommend it to anybody who likes the mystery, supernatural and suspense genre.

For recommendations I would point out:
-Bloody Monday, having also a suspense plot line in it and a little mystery.
-Ajin, has also a suspense plot line and you get kinda the same feeling while reading it as when you are reading Death Note.

Thanks for taking your time and reading my review! ;)

HENSHIN NINJA ARASHI review
In feudal Japan a deadly transformation technique has spread across the land spawning an evil group known as the Bloodwheels whose plan to take over the land creates chaos and destruction throughout the valley. However a young man named Hayate wanders the lands cutting down those with this transformation technique one by one with his own special transformation that rivals the Bloodwheels, but is he doing so for the sake of justice, or to fulfill his own personal vendetta. It's truly fire fights fire in this revenge story by the famous Ishinomori.

This was a great manga to read as the lengths Hayate goes to for his revenge makes himself and the readers question if it's even worth it in the end. The creator (Ishinomori) develops most of the villains with their own unique characteristics such as honor, friendship, tragic backstory, or even the means to start a family peacefully. You as the reader come to sympathize with these characters and question Hayate's morals throughout as he choses to wipe out everyone with this secret technique no matter what. This along with Ishinomori's amazing art style makes every fight and encounter a memorable one.

However sadly this story's twist ending leaves on a bad note as nothing regarding to it is fully explained. It's a shame since the story was building up to this finale, but felt was thrown in there last minute with much needed explanation. I myself become frustrated as I understand where the creator is coming from, but at the same time become confused as to why it was presented in such a poor way.

In the end, the journey of this story is a fantastic one that the destination greatly lacks in comparison. I would definitely re-read this in the future as I think back to those memorable fight scenes with it's rich characters and fantastic art style with much inspiration. Check it out if this ninja revenge story sounds interesting or if you just wanna read a good manga from back in the day. While only running in at 12 chapters, this short manga doesn't hurt to check out yourself one day :)

Kiss My Ass review
Kiss My Ass interesting name right, i just began reading this manga 20 minutes and OMG what a delightful 20 minutes they were.

The first time i read the name i immediately thought "What a badass name lets give it a try" Honestly i was a expecting a delinquent shounen manga but sadly i was mistaken. What i did end up reading was a very funny, comedic, and educational(at some points) manga about ass yes ass... more importantly Hemorrhoids, who knows probably the author had a case of this one day and decided to write this up as a story board but

be it as weird as it maybe (a story with hemorrhoids revolving around it) it was very interesting, for 2 volumes the story board is average compared to other but above when above average when compared to those average if you get what i mean

the story was well thought out, well its kinda hard to explain for this you kinda gotta read it to see what i mean, some people might be disgusted by the idea of hemorrhoid manga but its quite knowledgeable and it doesn't show any but diagrams if it helps you read it better

characters were developed quite nicely, even though its short the characters do spend quite enough time together and develop a connection which is quite nice seeing what they share in COMMON

the art had nice lining and were clean not much of an artist but i have seen some poorly drawn manga out there and its not pretty when a leg is drawn out of proportion

enjoyment factor is up to you to decide if you read this, i enjoyed it very especially cuteness factor of the main heroine lol

i dont believe in ODD numbers so i will only rate in Even so i give it an 8 would be 7 but its odd, I gave an 8 because though the story was nice the characters weren't developed well enough, and the hemorrhoid factor in between chapters 9- 10 were they all had it was too conspicuous, but everything is fine i got to learn new things i never knew before and it was a nice story, though its short and story was short it was a nice read and the characters are funny i would probably red this manga again in the future

Kitarubeki Sekai review
Nextworld is a manga written by the famous Tezuka Osamu in 1951. As said in the after notes, Tezuka removed over 400 pages for the release, originally being 1000 pages long. The artwork is influenced by old western cartoons, as usual.

Note: Tezuka did not intend for this to be an "imitation" or a "rip-off" of the HG Wells film 'Things to Come', as he found the film boring. Anyway, Dark Horse Comics release this manga along with several of his other works.

Story: The concept of the story is pretty interesting, as you can see from the synopsis above, but is driven down my aimless writing. I simply can't imagine reading the unabridged version, Tezuka simply spends too many panels with useless dribble. Considering the amount of text on each page, this should have been about a volume long, but like I said, it's driven down by way too much useless content. Sometimes it's even hard to follow, apparently this is because of the removed pages, which I can understand. Overall the story is pretty rough...kind of like this poor excuse of a review.

Art: Inspired by Disney, obviously, I'm not really fond of it. The panels are way too small for their own good, probably limiting Tezuka's artistic talent.
There are a few 2 page illustrations and Tezuka crams quite a few of his characters in them. There's also a bunch of reoccurring character designs, which slightly bothered me.... Pretty decent overall, though.

Character: Racial stereotypes to the max! Not only are they outdated and crude, they're also amusing! There's also a few reoccurring characters like Rock, Mustachio, and Kenichi! The characters are usually quite comedic, even during serious scenes. Not much I can say about characters that lack depth, though.

Enjoyment: Nice ideas, poor execution. I hope to see some of these ideas used properly in his newer works, which I will start reading quite soon.
Read this if you're looking for a nice and rough piece of copper.

Suggestions: Any other Tezuka work, Captain Harlock, and Queen Millennia.

ONIICHAN NO KOTO NANKA ZENZEN SUKI JA NAI N DA KARA NE review
Let's not beat around the bush: I don't Like You At All, Big Brother! is a harem manga. It just is. But while I would't go so far as to say this manga is a parody of the harem comedy, it's certainly self-aware and both mocks and indulges in the genre's tropes. It's also about incest, since at some point Japan decided that two siblings, blood-related or otherwise, getting it on was the hottest thing in the world, but it doesn't take that very seriously either.

Written and illustrated by Kouichi Kusano and published in English by Seven Seas in 2-volume omnibus editions, I Don't Like You At All, Big Brother! tells the story of Nao, a 16 year-old high schooler in love with her older brother Shuusuke. Or rather, in love with the IDEA of being in love with her older brother, and also the idea that he has naughty thoughts about her. So obsessed is Nao that, two chapters in, she reacts to the news that she was adopted as a child not with shock and incredulity as might be expected, but instead with disappointment at no longer being able to enjoy an illicit affair with a real blood-relating sibling (before realising that, actually, it's not so bad because now society has no reason to oppose their love!). Before the reader even gets the chance to wonder whether this manga has a serious bone in its body, Kusano took a potential minefield of melodrama--and in any other harem story it would've been--and diffused it with perfect comic timing.

The early chapters are all about Nao. She has the funniest, most verbose lines ("I also noticed the dramatic attrition rate of tissues in Onii-chan's room ONLY") and it's hard not to be amused at the thought and planning she puts into her seduction schemes, nor at the lengths she eventually goes to in putting them into practise. She even conducts regular inspections of Shuusuke's room to ensure that he's only reading little sister porn; everything else has gotta go. When Nao becomes concerned that Shuusuke has apparently renounced porn altogether, and more importantly seems determined to resist her charms (e.g. deliberate panty flashes), she drags him to the adult section of a bookstore where she loudly declares that she's buying him ¥30k worth of porn in order to rejuvenate his inner pervert, and proceeds to pick out the most hardcore material she can lay her hands on. Shuusuke, for his part, is not a terribly interesting character, a mainly blank slate characterised only by his passion for pornography - but that alone gives him an edge over the average harem lead.

Kusano wheels out another hoary old harem trope with the long-forgotten childhood friend character who first appears half way through the first volume, but again he has some fun with it. Y'see, Iroha isn't quite the pure-pure virginal maiden one has come to expect from the childhood friend archetype; no, she's every bit as perverted as Shuuskuke and Nao, a voyeur who observes Shuusuke's masturbation habits (amongst other things) via the use of a telescope from her apartment and who quite openly offers her mind and body to him. Naturally she clashes with Nao, and the two quickly establish an amusing rivalry based on who can seduce Shuusuke first.

This rivalry rages on until Mayuka, the boys love-obsessed class rep, is introduced in volume 3. Owing to a mix-up, Shuusuke ends up destroying one Mayuka's BL books. When Mayuka finds out she isn't best pleased, and decides to make Shuusuke her "pet". To her this means having someone to buy BL for her, and someone to talk about it with. Shuusuke erroneously believes it means... something else. And so do Nao and Iroha, who team up to defeat their new foe. Hilarity ensues.

What I've described so far is what sets this harem manga apart from other harem manga I've read: the characters are varying degrees of insane, from the slightly kooky to the completely off their rocker. Even Nao's two school friends, the closest this manga has to straight (wo)men, find amusement in covertly stalking the bizarre circus that is the Shuusuke/Nao/Iroha "love" triangle. For the most part the series' humour is a mixture of bawdy slapstick, surprisingly snappy dialogue, and "I can't believe they went there" moments. It takes standard, cliché genre set-ups (such as the beach and pool chapters) and cranks the crazy dial all the way up. Is it big and clever? No. Is it riotously funny and entertaining? Well, I suppose it depends upon your tolerance for silly sex comedy, but I certainly think so.

Which brings me to the art. It isn't great. Characters are stick-thin and gangly, with long pencil necks, large jug ears, and massive man hands. The girls also have a severe case of sameface, their only distinguishing feature being their hair (and even then it can be tricky telling Iroha from one of Nao's friends). Having said that, it's not without a certain simplistic comic charm that kind of works, and the girls are cute. And while the series is as racy and risqué as they come, benefiting from its serialisation in an online seinen publication, it's not reflected in the art itself which is relatively tame in terms of fanservice. The cheesecake shots that are there are somewhat neutered by the odd character designs; they're just not that sexy.

I Don't Like You At All, Big Brother is a harem manga. There's just no getting around it. But I hope I've done enough to convince at least one of the three people who will read this all the way through that it has a bit more going for it than your average garden variety harem. Just a bit.
