Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria review
What a beautiful piece of writing~
Have you ever wondered if there's a divine deity watching us?
Have you ever wanted to escape your repetitive everyday life?
Have you thought for a moment that you could change fate/destiny?

Basic Story Outline: A story revolving around Kazuki Hoshino, a student who lives quite the delightful and repetitive everyday life. However on the 2nd of March, near the end of the class year, a beautiful and mysterious girl named Aya Otonashi is transferred for the 13,118th time in his class and when she introduces herself, she directly targets Hoshino, saying that she’ll break Hoshino. Confusing and pretty bizarre huh?

Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria is certainly a complex, mysterious, dark, twisted, and surprisingly rather funny story about people's most basic values vs reality of the world. At first look, the story just seems like a mystery with some random murders/deaths here and there and some suspense. But oh my, is it so much more. The viewers are led to follow the characters in masterfully done multiple iterations of the same day and the struggles they have in each one. The grand suspense that's built up through small, detailed developments are brilliant. The feelings of every character: Loss of a "human" way to think even if our senses kick back just to take us back to reality. The mysterious aspect of this show is similar to that of Death Note (and if you haven't read/watched Death Note, then I don't know what you're doing with your life). The symbolic, and most important things in the manga though are the boxes. The wishes are supposedly "wish-granting genies" and depending on how strong your passion for that dream is, it'll come true. Now, this is obviously not just some easy, Aladdin 3-wish childish stuff. The boxes are a symbol of temptation and they are an escape of Kazuki Hoshino's repetitive everyday life.

Absolutely a marvelous story, but it'd be nothing without the magical characters. All the characters are absolutely genius, and no one will leave you annoyed; they'll leave you rather dumbfounded after each thought (especially Aya). The change in the characters throughout the novel is wondrous, especially Kazuki's perception of "life" itself. The art was average, could have used some better art, but nonetheless it was readable, and enjoyable. Honestly, the art needed a more dark premise approach to it... Oh and did I ask you yet...? Do you believe in God?

A fine masterpiece indeed. One of the more genius writings of literature. Definitely a novel that people should check out, if they can process some complex/confusing/deep stuff. Closest similarity to this novel would be Death Note. Check out both, they're both masterpieces.

ONE PUNCH MAN REVIEW [English no first language]
One punch man. The anti-history of an anti-hero. The destruction of the classic shonen structure (and much more!). Saitama ... legendary! Everything was born as WebManga in 2009 by ONE that with his drawings and his writing manages in a short time to make his work exceed 50 million visits. Subsequently, the manga is redesigned by one of the greatest Japanese designers of recent times, Yusuke Murata, allowing the work to lead to the Young Jump Web Comics site, literally depopulating in Japan and then in the rest of the world.
The protagonist is (at least for the first part of the comic) a 25-year-old boy named Saitama who, after losing his job, decides to pursue the dream he had as a child, that of becoming a hero capable of defeating monsters and calamities. that afflict the world of comics. At this point, a hard training will follow, so heavy for him to lead him to become bald from the effort, but to overcome, with the simple willpower of an ordinary man, the limits of the human being. This is how the birth of the strongest hero in history takes place, the one who is able to defeat any enemy with a single punch. However, this force will cause him to enter a state of perennial apathy, due to the lack of opponents worthy of facing him and to a society that does not recognize him as a hero.
In this way, the manga develops going to ridicule the typical aspects of the action manga by no means covertly, destroying every canonical shonen cliché, which perhaps requires both physical and psychological training of the protagonist, in step with the evolution of the plot. Saitama doesn't need any of that. He just trained like anyone else in the world could, but with the willpower needed to push his limits. The design is also in stark contrast to that of the protagonists of the battle shonen, who often sport recognizable and iconic hair.
But while the first part of the manga describes Saitama in all its complexity, focusing on his psychology and destructive force, the second part takes the work, already so extraordinary, a further step: to the parodic element that we have come to know and to appreciate is joined by a profound social criticism. The superheroes in the reality of ONE are not supermen, but human beings like the others, and therefore subject to corruption and misleading. The hero becomes part of the society towards which he wants recognition in a "harassing" way, because it is not fully needed. The mass is the entity to whom it is up to give judgment, progenitor of heroes and the one who often sinks them, trivially praising those who seem to have a more audacious air and discrediting those who deserve. The Heroes Association exploits the potential of their guinea pigs and judges the heroes on the basis of illusory or prospective votes. These elements throw a superhero comic into the absolute driest, swinging its characters between corruption and heroism. There are few ways: to fall into corruption, or become someone necessary to safeguard humanity (the so-called S-class heroes), or ... do as Saitama, the hero as a hobby! He does not care about the crowd, the society, the awards but he has the strength to face all kinds of obstacles. The canons are destroyed and then embraced again. Saitama, despite becoming the deus ex machina of the series from a certain point on, actually has a goal that he wants to follow, one that would lead him to understand how to become a true hero because, to be one, be strong, even the strongest, it is not enough.
But there would be still another path, which is actually followed by what will later turn out to be, if you like, the real protagonist of the manga: Garou, the hero hunter. Once the true selfish and overwhelming nature of the Heroes Association and its members has been revealed, this new character intervenes, ready to take the reins of situations to overthrow the world that disgusts him, allowing monsters to prevail. At this point, reflections will take place on many issues, for example what is justice, what is evil, what is good and what is to be fought because it is conventionally wrong, and much more. The slap to the Shonen reaches its maximum power right here, when we find ourselves for the first time cheering for the "bad", for the "monster" through which ONE has come to the genesis of the concepts of "evil" and "good", putting them in discussion and creating one of the greatest manga of recent years.

Eh......

This sounded interesting but was just weird. Normally i like gender bender genre just because it tends to be funny and interesting. But this just annoys me more i guess.

Now credit where credit is due. The Art and character designs are nice and we do get fully colored chapters. The first couple chapters are alright too i guess.

I also very much like the sister in this. I kind of wished she got more screen time. I kind of wished this focused on her and not the MC. I also very much like the character design of her. I would have loved if when the MC changed genders. He got the sisters character design.

But the problem is that nothing of note really happens besides the MC changing his gender. It's not tell chapter 13 or so that something interesting happens and it's something i find annoying.

The thing that happens is that all of a sudden the MC's sister ( Only character i actually like) Suddenly turns into a guy. I always hate when there are gender benders and then have some other character turns into another chapter. Unless its explained at the start that this can happen.

I also really hate it when chicks are turned into guys. It never comes across well and i don't think it can. Only if it last for a couple chapters or episodes will i find it alright.

In this it seems even worse sense the only likable character for me was the MC's sister. She doesn't want to be a guy. I feel a whole ton worse for the sister than i do the brother turned into a chick. Because the brother was actually wanting. So not only is the story doing something cruel to the only likable. But it's doing something that's just dumb in general.

I could go on about how much i hate this part. But i don't want to be hear all day. Just to wrap it up. This is a dumb thing they did and only damaged by opinion of the story.

There is also a weird amount of sexual crap happening mostly with the guys. It honestly is weird.

Only other problem is that the story ended so rushed and on such a bad note it. Kind of sad they didn't go wrap up other stuff.

Overall this could have been an alright story but wasn't fun. The art was nice though.

Naruto review
Alright, this also my first review so yeah... here I GO! I see not many people actually like this one-shot, haha I enjoyed very much!

Story 6/10

The story is meh, him being the child of the Demon fox makes sense but it just doesn't sit right with me.

I like friendship lesson and how it got trust involved.

Also HOLY S*** THERE ARE GUNS IN THIS THING?!

Art 6/10

I can't be too harsh on Kishi... He was only starting out so of course so his character designs and backgrounds will not be clear.

He knew how to do perspective which was great but there is too much white going on and his lines are not crisp... not sure if it was done due to the age of the one-shot or the scan I have here but the backgrounds look rushed.

Character design is till a little bit sloppy, Naruto the main character looked out of place compared to the rest of the characters in the mountain (Konoha/ MT. Onari) and the city... Yeah, I don't like the city concept either I prefer the village for sure.

Character 9/10

It may be because I love asshole characters BUT! If Naruto was going to be a rebel... why not go full out on it? His swearing and making chaos in the village because of his mischief tendencies, I would love for shonen to somewhat unlikeable at the beginning but also seeing their point of view on the world.

Him effortlessly shapeshifting also makes sense, since he was in this Pilot a Kitsune and used his shapeshifting for evil deeds.

Him learning about friend-ship... in my opinion, it could be better done but it's a good concept instead of him to have this natural ability of making friends naturally.

Enjoyment 8/10

I like immature jokes what can I say? it fit his character in the one-shot and the underage drinking? Hell, why not?! Maybe not the greatest example but he wasn't a great example in the first place so pushing these boundaries was a good idea in my opinion... (This version of the manga would not have survived in the modern-day but it sure would be f****** fun hue hue maybe it would have been more of a Seinen then a Shōnen)

I guess it's my guilty pleasure? I love asshole characters and this Naruto was just great and as you know the jokes but then it comes the one 'so bad is so good' aspect. The art is kinda iffy to the point it's actually funny to look at because of how the anatomy is WACK and this sorta invested me in the story which the middle part was kinda boring its self and the ending serves as a wake-up call.

Overall 7/10

There are some amazing concepts and I especially like his character but as I said he would only work for a different manga with the immature jokes, definitely not Shonen.

But I liked it, I loved seeing one of favourite mangaka's work and how he started.

SENSEI NI, AGERU review
"Sensei ni, Ageru"
This is your basic drama/romance manga with a little twist. It's a short manga about the romance between a young teacher and a student.

Story:
The story revolves around Mizusawa and Tanaka (as they're most of the time referred to) and the romance between them.
The story opens in an introducing way which is enjoyable, as one could say. However, there are a few problems with the story. The story is too rushed to be told in only 10 chapters. Too much characters are introduced which sometimes leads to confusion to why a character is acting in a specific way. The story would've been okay if it was around 30 chapters though, but that's just my own opinion.
The storyline itself is thought out well and stays enjoyable throughout the whole manga.
But again, everything was rushed, even the ending (and we all know it's very hard to decide on a good ending), but it was still very decent.
My decision was to give this a 7.

Art:
The art was really well done. It's really looks like a manga (and not like an anime, which sometimes occurs). It's very detailed and, still looking at it right now, definitely suits a lot of people's taste and it fits well with the storyline.
The characters definitely fit their personalities, which makes it even more enjoyable to read this manga.
Overall, I thought it was really good but with a few downs here and there: 9

Characters:
As I already said, the characters fit their personalities and their roles. Cute, nice, lovable and more importantly: not boring.
Basically all there is to say about the characters is also mentioned in the previous subjects... So I guess that's it for the characters.
The characters were well thought out but their personalities felt rushed due to the small amount of chapters. This made me give it a 6.

Enjoyment:
Overall a very enjoyable manga to read! I definitely recommend it if you're into romance manga, since it's easy to read and it doesn't consume too much time!
In the end I chose to give this manga an 8!

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you in my next review!

Hana wa Sakura yori mo Hana no Gotoku review
I'm surprised this manga doesn't have any reviews, I enjoyed it very much.
The manga has not finished English translations yet. Anyways..
Story-8
The story is placed I believe before the Edo period (don't quote me on that), this is set in a time where women weren't allowed to professional dancers. So basically, a dancer named Hakubi was adopted into a family that were all dancers, Hakubi is however, a girl, so she has to keep her gender a secret to do what she loves, dancing. It is very good and you have moments like:" whats going to happen next?" Will they discover Hakubi is a woman?" The romance is very good but they don't concentrate solely on romance, making the story very well thought out.
Art- 10
The art was amazing, one of the best in my opinion. It's very clean and all the characters are absolutely beautifully drawn. I saw the cover of this manga and already fell in love with it. The art is just amazing.
Character-9
The characters are pretty interesting. Hakubi is a very strong heroine and is very much dedicated to dancing. She is somewhat innocent too and a very pretty character. Souma is a very charming man, he has long hair and very handsome face, he is kind of a tease but is very much interested in Hakubi. Like Hakubi, he is very dedicated to his career, he can be full of surprises too sometimes. Ugen, is also a very charming man and is kind of a tease as well, he is a flirt, but clearly shows an interest in the heroine as well. All the characters are well thought out and will not disappoint you.
Enjoyment and overall-9
This manga's characters keep the manga very much enjoyable and the suspense of Hakubi's secret and amazing art make this manga very entertaining. The time period is perfect for this manga. Overall it is great and I highly suggest it to anyone.

Air review
Out of the three great Key anime (I refuse to acknowledge Little Busters until a, it gets more popular, and b, until I've actually seen it), general consensus seems to be that Air is the weakest of them, with me agreeing to that consensus. Sure, it's still good and all, but doesn't pack as much of a punch as Clannad and Kanon. The anime either needed to eb longer, to give Kanno's and Minagi's arc more background and to develop its rather tacked-on backstory even more, or it needed to be shorter and a more focused story concentrating only on Misuzu and chopping out the badly written past. This is the route the Air manga decided to take, and despite its shorter length and taking out most of the main plot points not related to Misuzu, it managed to be less focused somehow. Shall we take a look?

For those of you who are unaware, Air is about a man called Yukito who is a traveler relying on his magical puppet show to make money. When he stops in a small town, he encounters a girl named Misuzu and befriends her. However, everything is not what it seems and it could be that Misuzu has ties to one of the reasons why Yukito is traveling in the first place.

Despite its shorter length, a good amount of the early chapters is just fluff and events between Yukito and Misuzu to set up their relationship. However, these scenes never come off as more than moe fluff, and while they do set up the characters well, it could've been done in a much shorter time. And eventually, the plot does start, and its not a very good attempt. The whole mystery seems tacked on as it lacked the foreshadowing the anime has. The supernatural setting comes very sudden about halfway through. I hate to compare, but the anime could get away with it as it had already set up everything was not what is seemed in Minagi's and Kanno's arcs instead of feeling tacked on like it does here.

Talking about tacked on, the way Air handles its ending is terribly. While I originally disliked the arc in the anime that went to the past to set up its backstory more, without using it as a transition, the final part of the manga, the Misuzu and Haruka part, feels so tacked on it's not funny. For the whole manga Haruka was barely even there and we barely got to form any attachment to her, so seeing as the final arc concentrates on her relationship with Misuzu, it almost feels like a different manga entirely. And the whole thing just sort of, well, ends. It ends right before the final scene of the anime begins, the scene that everyone remembers. This wouldn't have bothered me, but they did everything else exactly the same, and without the ending the anime has, the final major development feels really useless and just an attempt to try to get some semblance of drama. Due to this, the whole thing feels unfinished and like it needs one more chapter.

The characters also suffer. While I have no problem with them turning Kanno and Minagi into minor characters, it did bother me that they slightly hinted at their backstories, but never revealed them, meaning that they feel like incomplete characters and people new to Air would be confused and turned off. The main two, Misuzu and Yukito, are fine though, exactly like they were in the anime.

The art is, well... It's okay. Misuzu's typical design is rather generic, but in the later chapters when her hair blows in the wind, it looks really neat and almost like her hair is really blowing across the page. The only other mentionable thing is they changed Minagi's design so much if I didn't know this is Air I probably wouldn't been able to tell it was her, she looks so different.

Air still manages to keep the bare amounts of the story we know though, and people who never watched the anime wouldn't be totally lost as it does explain all of its plot points rather well, with perhaps one big exception in there, but that didn't make much sense in the anime either so I suppose I can kind of forgive it. It also doesn't do anything that bad either, it just sort of feels very incomplete, like it needed just a few more chapters to become brilliant but it didn't get those chapters. If you've already seen the anime, then don't read this unless if you're a hardcore fan (which means you've probably already read it), and if you're new to the Air franchise, then just skip this and watch the anime instead. At the end of the day, I don't recommend this.
