I watched the anime before I read the manga, and I suggest you do the same.

The level of voice acting, along with the outstanding soundtrack just makes this manga SO much better.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the manga. They're equal as far as enjoyment is concerned. But, I feel like if you enjoy reading manga more than watching anime, then you might just enjoy the manga a LOT more if you watch the anime first.

When it comes to the mind battles, you can hear L's or Kira's theme play in the back of your head as you read... It's really an amazing thing. Never experienced it before besides with Attack on Titan.

Now, we'll get onto the story.

The best part of this series is up until chapter 58. Then it starts to die down until the very end, which, (imo) is well worth the wait. The ending is very intense, and very good. But the actions leading up to the end were quite tedious and boring, I must say. (Even though, I do like Near)

I am rating this an 8.5 for in-case you actually read it BEFORE the anime, but if we were taking it into consideration that you watched the anime first, i'd give it a 9. The manga and anime differences are slight, but I do enjoy the manga a little bit more, however without hearing their voices or the music in my head, I would say I enjoyed the anime a bit more. If you understand my confusing analogy lol.

This could possibly be one of the best manga I have ever read, I worry that I will overhype this, but I just really enjoyed it.

I think that a big part of my enjoyment came from the fact that I purchased this with no prior information as to what the story was about and didn't even open it up to check the inside, so when I actually sat down to read Mujirushi, it shocked me at every turn.

I think that the twist and turns and shocking and unexpected, the story is interesting and the characters are deep and interesting, there really isn't a downside to this story.

Suki x Suki is a romcom manga, no ecchi contrary to what the cover on MAL might make you think.

The story has a good twist for a comedy, that girl like that guy but she act like a bitch to him all the times, she get the ability to be invisible, unfortunately that guy is the only on who can see her, when she's invisible she clearly express her love/obsession for him, and he decide to act like he don't see her.

The art is fine, so far the premise work but it might a bit repetitive after some times, nothing extremely funny but still a few laugh.

Yeah it's just "fine" but if you got nothing better to do give it a chance.

First review and I'm not a native speaker so please bear with me.

Let's make it short and cute, it just 11 chapters long. The art is nice for those years and even now, 80's aesthetics is hella cool right. And I already took lots of screenshots of outfits. It's an honest view of troubled years, dealing with the uncertain feeling about being an adult, exploring sexuality among a bit of mixed feelings, being straight, gay or bi, masturbation, drugs, prostitution. I wish we have at least some explanations about certain themes. In the overall is a nice experience, but somehow you feel like they development were cut in the middle, or not developed, at all with some characters. Also this is my first manga from Akimi Yoshida, and maybe these are common tropes in her works, but if you're curious I would recommend you to read it, if not. It's okay too. But I couldn't help but feel sad for those quirky characters trapped in a messy storytelling.

its not too long, pretty short.A girl has to take care of her brother and herself, but suddenly meets this rich guy, he asks her to be his bodyguard, she accepts and the love builds up.

its very cute and i definitely recommend it to someone who enjoys romance or comedy.

You can never enjoy a manga like this, but the story is unquestionably unique so I can give it props for originality but if you can't stomach physical and mental abuse or psychological torture then don't even give this manga the chance because you're going to hate it. But if you're open minded and willing to separate your personal emotions from lots of abuse that takes place in this manga, then it will be a great read about abusive relationships.

This story follows the relationship between 2 high schoolers Hina and Airi aka Ai-chan, former childhood best friends who seem to not be as close now that they're in high school. The story starts off innocent, the 2 girls are in different friend groups but are aware of each other, either catching glimpses of one another or innocently touching when no-one is looking. Later you find out the 2 girls were still close actually a lot more closer than the reader and everyone around them thought they were. They were secretly in a sadistic relationship where Airi seem to derive pleasure and sexual gratification from humiliating and inflicting pain on Hina and Hina not wanting to be apart from Airi allows her to do as she pleases but what Airi later fails to see was she was grooming Hina into enjoying it so begins this abusive relationship.

At first you're lead to believe Hina was a masochist but things arent what they seem like at first in this manga. Even though Hina secretly seems to want it or enjoys the suffering/humiliation being inflicted on her it's actually simply comes down to the fact that she's in love and is afraid if she rejects Airi's advances Airi will reject/ignore her. There's a lot of kinks and sexual scenes in this manga so if that's not your thing don't read it(I make it sound like I'm into it lol..) if you take out the sexual aspects of airi and hina's relationship it all comes down to a depiction of an abusive relationship which is very real and in relationships like these the one being abused or bullied grows to like or enjoy it and sees it as love or the abuser's way of showing love. hina sees airi's abuse as love/care because airi mixes in the suffering/humiliation with care like making her food, babying her, giving her one on one time, showing her attention and a side she doesn't show even her closest friends. Airi also continued to abuse her because hina allowed her to, that's always the case with abusive relationships the abuser doesn't think they did anything wrong because the victim or their partner lets them do it (**most of the time**) so when they're called out or caught they don't think they were in the wrong because the one they were abusing didn't reject it. What Airi fails to see later was she was teaching and psychologically changing Hina into an sadist abuser like her. Later on the script changes where Hina gains the power and dominance in their relationship and she basically does what she's been groomed to do by Airi back to Airi, she thinks its love so Airi later is stuck in a fucked up world of her own creation.

The art is amazing, I only wish this was a josei or included mature/older characters but seeing this from high schoolers perspective is a refreshing change.

(EDIT April 24th, 2019: Now that Route End is completed, I want to say that I am not changing anything to this review from May 3rd, 2018. Even with the ending and what I speculated about a rushed up story, I still think I am partially right.)

I wanted to give more exposure to this great manga, so here is the first review on MAL.

What makes it a great manga? First of all the art. The author seems to be relatively unknown (at least to me) but there is no doubt that he is quite talented. The characters look different from one another and it helps memorize their name. The thing is, this is a realistic setting so there is no character looking weird. Then why not a perfect mark? Because as outstanding as it can be, the faces are mostly the same which is why the author needs to add some details specific to each character: a mole, blonde hair, goatee, buzzcut, wrinkles, bangs... You could easily give a nickname to each character based on physical appearance. And some drawings look rough, it could be from aesthetic sense but still, it is uneven.

As a thriller story, the suspense is crucial therefore the more you read the more it should draw you in. I believe it is quite successful on that part. In fact, I cannot wait to read the next chapter as the story starts with a serial killer but then brings the drama of characters and even side characters. Flashbacks, drama, and tragedies cemented together by a horror that comes and goes. You would think this is about a serial killer and cops trying to catch the bad guy but it's not. The psyche of each character is much more interesting than an unknown killer with sporadic appearances. The keywords here are "barely fleshed out characters" and "a killer you don't care about".

So the story, art, and character development are all great. What makes it so enjoyable? Well, it's the fact that you've never read anything like ROUTE END before. I am fairly sure it is the first of its kind in terms of drama, psychology, and setting. Where do you find a manga where the protagonist is a cleaning specialist of the deceased? Apart from that, ROUTE END brings a type of storytelling in mangas that is similar to movies and this is very well done through beautiful transitions.

ROUTE END is imperfect but it gets better. I have only read 19 chapters before writing this review but so far so good and it fully deserves a 9, close to 10 with little room for perfection. Yet I worry about the quality of the story because right now it's very high standard which might not suit a bigger audience. Then there's the risk it gets canceled because it's a niche. While I can understand how publishers think, it's still annoying to complete a manga with a rushed up and unfinished story.

I don't like dropping series. I really don't. One of the things that I found interesting about this series was the nature of the relationship between Kai, the boy trapped in a girl's body, and his friend Tatsuki. I enjoyed it at first, but it got transphobic pretty quickly, and also managed to get some homophobia in there as well. Tatsuki kept telling Kai that he wasn't a boy anymore, and it didn't matter if he was on the inside because your biological sex determines what you are. He said this meant he wasn't gay and that Kai is a lesbian. That's around the time I stopped reading. I'd generally keep reading, but I already forced myself to finish one homophobic series, so I'm not keen on reading another, especially one that ALSO has transphobia. Honestly, it was kind of dull and fairly idiotic at points (and not in a good way, this coming from someone who loves stupid things).

According to the author note, this was never planned to be a comic. This was a series of drawings they strung together afterwards with narration to resemble a character study. They didn’t know what was drawn. Just that it was sad.

No wonder, because despite decent standalone pictures it DOES NOT translate well to graphic novel storytelling. All we get is a series of semi-photorealistic portraits with repetitive angsty narration. No character arcs are ever explored. It’s just one wreck of a lost girl in a world of constantly blurry pictures screaming. Quite frankly, this was one of the whiniest comics I’ve read and I regret paying to read this. Selling my copy as soon as possible.
