Megami no Karnaval review
I started reading this today and I have to say that I am expecting great things from it.
The manga seems to have all the right items in place in order to have a wonderful story. It helps that I can't immediately predict how the characters are going to act for the rest of the manga (I find I can do that with allot of them) The artwork is pretty good. Nothing outstanding but not bad either. The story is the main selling point for me so far. It starts off pretty dark and with an extreme element of supernatural which immediately draws me in. The characters are great as well. You have your funny perverted guy friends, your attractive and secret admiring female school mates, crazy and crazy hot sister, and a pair of protagonists who I am very much looking forward to finding more about! So for the ecchi factor. I think I am going to develop a scale of 1-10. 1 Being PG and 10 being Full blown Hentai. This manga seems to fall around a 6.5. Not that I consider this an inherently bad thing mind you ; ). If any of the other mangas I have read in my life are any indication though, Mangakas seem to start off somewhat slow then rev up the ecchi engine later in the series when they get braver. We shall have to see. All in all the story had me at around chapter 2 and I will now be looking forward to staying up to date and reading more! Jrminot

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi review
This is quite possibly the worst thing i have ever read. this is just your classic power fantasy manga which is fine those kinds of stories can be quite entertaining but where Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (redo of a healer) goes with its revenge porn spin leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth with its abundance of rape scenes feeling gratuitous and uncomfortable. These scenes feeling like they serve two purposes.
1- In flash backs to make the bad guys seem bad when they rape faceless characters 2- To give the reader a feeling of power when the MC ends up either raping one of the bad guys or has others rape them This ends up giving the impression that author just ended up shoehorning these scenes for cheap shock value and to appeal to edgy teens. My problems with this book go further then the rape scenes the characters in this manga are the biggest scum fuck bastards i have ever had the displeasure of having to endure. The MC is the worst offender in a revenge story its pretty important that you want to see your MC succeed in their quest for revenge but of course the author was to busy trying to make the MC look like a bad ass (which he's not he is the lamest MC ever. he makes light novel harem doormat MC's look cool) that he forgot to make him look morally better than the bad guys, in some cases i thought he was worse than them. You could suggest that they did this to give the morality in the story a feeling of grey instead of it being black and white but not once do they put into question the morality of the MC's actions instead they parade him as good person which he's not. He can be just as cruel as the bad guys in this manga. The one and only thing that i can give this manga is that the art is not a piece of shit, its not amazing but its not god awful like a lot of other light novel manga adaptations I've read. There is so much more i could write about this manga like how the MC's power is fucking stupid or how poorly the bad guys are fleshed out with all of them being these boring one note characters. But it would take way to long and i cant be bothered. I know that this is less of a review and more or less the mad ramblings of a man that has been subjected to the worst form of torture that is this manga. ramblings or not i do believe that this does have merit because to me this is one of the worst manga to ever be released. But hey hearing that this is getting an anime adaptation gives me hope because if something this shit can get an adaptation maybe something actually good like Tokyo Revengers and I am a hero will get one.

S+M review
Are you tired of love triangles where one hero obviously has the edge and even before the underdog has confessed, you know who’s gonna get the girl?
Are you equally frustrated with seeing the heroes unequally matched with one being sweet and gentle but unable to move the maiden’s heart while the other is brash and unkind but the word soulmate oozes from his very being? Do you finally want a shoujo romance where the triangle in love triangle is somewhat equilateral rather than horribly bent in one direction? Well then this story is IT for you! Our heroine Ryou has the hugest rack you can physically imagine, and is OF COURSE frustrated about this unwanted asset because it brings her unpleasant attention from horny boys all over! But there isn’t any time to bother about that right now! She needs to study for her high school entrance examination, and who should show up to tutor her but a very lovely, very upstanding and (unfortunately) very disinterested Misaki-kun who studies at her dream school. So obviously, he insists on completely silent and hanky-panky free tutorial sessions. All Right! Ryou will just grind her teeth and get to work. But then why is the next day’s session so drastically different with a relaxed, playful even slightly sexual atmosphere?! Hey wait a minute, does Misaki-kun secretly like her? No! That can’t be! The title is pretty self explanatory as far as the plot goes but don’t take it too literally, there aren’t actually boys who like to inflict pain or get hurt in this. Well, there are… but it isn’t too overt! S+M is about sadism and masochism in relationships, it’s about a pair of boys named Misaki and Shingo, it’s about the girl named Ryou who can’t make up her mind between these two equally delicious bishies and it’s about So Many SMutty deeds that happen along the way! (S…M… get it?! Probably not. ) Story: Seriously original in Shoujo Universe and very well executed in a novel, realistic and somewhat head-on fashion. There are no princes in this story, neither are their thuggish delinquents, every character has their dark traits as well as their merits. Length is perfect for this story, though it will many wanting more. Twists and turns aren’t always predictable, a welcome change. There are also many revealing side stories littered about which throw light on the leads and the events which shaped them. Dialogue: While there is no comedy to lighten tense scenes, unexpected twists lend drama and peak interest in the plot. There will rarely be a moment when you think “Damn, this is going nowhere… next!” However, the last volume unexpectedly includes a lot of physical humor with hilarious twisted poses and childish puns. Smut: Good, but it’s not all that’s going on, there is a story to be told here too. Though when you do finally get down to the smut, there isn’t anything dreamy or gentle about it! Not with a chest that impressive! Uhh, a particular scene was disturbing and left undealt-with later on (You’ll know what it is when you reach it), but it was central to plot development, so it’s not like the author is just being perverse for smut sake. Art: Very dated in the overall look and feel though the actual characters are drawn in light strokes which lends a bit of an ethereal feel to them. Nothing groundbreaking in how the bishies or shoujos are drawn, so you’re probably not going to get wet dreams about these boys. The backgrounds and panels are mostly bare unless a location change is in order. Limited, almost threadbare expression, though never lacking in relaying emotions. Overall, art isn’t why you should be reading S+M as there is very little to leave a solid impression here. Characters: The heroes actually have reverse tsundere characteristic. The player is actually gentle and concerned while the prince is a bully- rough and selfish. The shoujo is a huge disappointment to feminists everywhere, not coz she’s conscious of her boobs, no we’re allowed to feel the way we like about our bodies, but for constantly being whiny, weak willed and easily swayed. Well, if she were decisive, there wouldn’t be much of a love triangle, but this one seriously lacks self respect! Hmm, so then if it’s got such mediocre elements going for it, why should you read S+M? Because it is one heck of a smexy, un-put-downable, whirlwind read which makes you cringe and gasp when cruel or unbelievable events transpire, grin wickedly when Prince Charming doesn’t fall for the heroine right away (“That’s right! Make her work at it!”), and sigh when the underdog gets a sweet kiss… all feelings central to a good shoujo romance!

Zashiki Onna review
Story - I only just read Ibitsu the other day and I have to admit that I much prefered Ibitsu to this manga. The plotlines are pretty much identical. Two very creepy women stalking the main lead by breaking into their houses, etc. I felt that Ibitsu however had a lot more meat to the story and in comparison I felt that 'Zashiki Onna' just did not match up to the creepiness and twists that was experienced through Ibitsu. However, if you want a creepy manga without the goriness that is drawn in Ibitsu then this is the better choice to make. I felt the
gore made the Ibitsu what it was. I felt this was more a mere shell of a story.
Art - I wasn't overally bothered by the art but I felt that the creepy tall woman was drawn to look almost unhuman which was pretty well done. Character - One thing I have to say about this is that I felt there was almost no character development at all. You don't really feel anything for the characters and as a result, the story probably has less of an impact for this reason. Not to sound like a broken record but the characters in Ibitsu were much more development which helped aid in the creepiness. I did not feel this as much from this manga. Enjoyment - As the manga is short, it didn't take long to read. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read Ibitsu first as I may have appreciated the story a little more. I felt the idea in this story is very reminiscent of Stephen King's 'Misery' (which is also worth reading if you like this!). Overall - I think its pretty clear in this review that I much more preferred Ibitsu to this. If you are one who is partial to a bit of gore and epic creepiness, I highly recommend Ibitsu which literally had me hiding in the company of other with the lights on and in comparison I could watch this in the dark, alone.

Moekoi review
Story: 5/10
A girl in love with an otaku boy who is also a light novel author. The story could have been much better. Everything escalated too quickly. Art: 4/10 Sometimes, the art is poorly drawn and seems rushed. Character: 5/10 The female lead is always so insecure, like in this manga which leads to pointless drama. Although I like how Soushi acts, he's sometimes childish yet sometimes serious. They also added in some extra character to stir up drama but it really wasn't worth it. Enjoyment/Overall: 4/10 I thought it would be enjoyable but it wasn't that exciting and it's just mediocre.

Portus review
Portus was the first Horror manga I ever read. Maybe that is the reason why it was so impacting on me. It's a one volume book and the storyline is extremely unique. It is a story about revenge, friends, love, and despair.
A lot of the time I could feel the character's fear as I read it. The facial expressions were drawn with such fine detail. The horrific images that the characters see can disturb you even though they are just simply drawings. I feel that the author did a great job in bringing this story to life. There is only so much you can show and describe on paper, the emotion's that the author were trying to make the reader feel are all too clear. The character's proceed to the end as if they were meant to, as if it was their fate. The story has a bizarre ending. One you would never expect. Two thumbs up!

MAJI LOVE review
There's really not much to say about this manga that can't be inferred by its description. It's a oneshot, so there's just really not enough room for a deep plot and character development. But Maji Love manages to create a sweet short story that is engaging, though not unique (and not entirely plausible, but I won't post spoilers).
The characters are likable, though again, not unique. The art, at least, is excellent. Cute and fun and detailed through the end. A little ecchi at the end as well, which works well with the story, implausible though it is. A worthy read, for sure, but nothing special. I feel like there could have been definitely potential if the characters were taken father, but the ending is satisfying nevertheless.

Shinseiki Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend 2nd review
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days is, simply put, a high school romantic comedy version of the original Evangelion anime. When I first learned about it, I thought that it might be a fun alternate version of a series that I consider to be brilliant or, on the flipside, a laughably bad retelling with little of what made the first series great. Unfortunately, it turned out to fall into the latter category.
Doubtlessly, most anime and manga fans are familiar with the original Neon Genesis Evangelion’s story. Angelic Days share the basic plot – teenagers are chosen to pilot giant robots and learn about growing up in the process – but little else. There’s none of the weirdness that you might expect, and certainly none of the depth. All the story really has to offer is a straightforward tale about kids and giant robots. It still has some of the mystery that comes with the mecha genre, but nothing about the plot stands out, especially when you remember that the original Eva did it better. As for the romantic elements… well, they’re nothing to write home about. Gendo and Yui, who star as students in a sidestory that takes up all of volume five, have a nice little love story, but other than that none of the character’s love lives are particularly interesting, and certainly not unique. Really, Angelic Days boasts no unique or even notable plot elements. The artwork, which could have improved my opinion of this series, did exactly the opposite. It’s very sparse in terms of detail, and not at all attractive. The best way to describe the main fault is that it’s quite… droopy. Most of the characters have almost limp posture, clothing, and hair. In addition, there’s something that bothers me about the character’s faces; at any given moment, they seem either lifeless or annoying. It’s just not a very good-looking manga. As for the cast… well, quite frankly, the cast of Angelic Days sucks. All of the unique characters that made the original Evangelion interesting are replaced by one-dimensional shells of characters. You have the average joe main man, the shy new girl, the grouchy but loving childhood friend, and more. If you’ve ever read a romantic comedy manga, you’ve met these people already, just not inhabiting the Eva cast’s bodies. While arguably an alternate universe has the right to reinvent characters, they should at least be reminiscent of the originals in ways other than name. If you’re a fan of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime or manga, you’re probably going to check this out regardless of what you hear. Still, keep your expectations low, because Angelic Days is nothing like normal Evangelion, and not in a good way. Even if you’ve never seen or read Evangelion, however, do yourself a favor and read one of the hundreds of other manga that cover mecha, romance, or both in a more original and enjoyable way.

Sex to Kiss to Setsunasa no Aida review
it consists of five amazing romance stories. They're not the typical and non-creative romance mangas you read. I was shocked when i read it. It has so much originality. It's one of a kind. The characters are outstanding. you'll fall in love with them. Even though it's short, it's worth your time.
