Fullmetal Alchemist review
First of all, i'm sorry for my bad english, i'm learning, so... Try to understand :p
Fullmetal is my favorite manga, I just love it. The dimension of this series is absurdly complex. At first glance, it seems to be only a handful of chapters and adventures with some drama to the mix. However in a few episodes so that the viewer understands that FMA is much more than that. The subjects covered are quite controversial and interesting, as the creation of a perfect society, represented by Amestris, the greed and ambition of human that lead them to commit the most heinous atrocities, clearly evident in the plot that involved the people of Xerxes and Ichival.

One of the great strengths of the manga is precisely this approach to various subjects that acquire a real dimension, far from the simple idea of the struggle of Good against Evil. The viewer is often confronted with issues that could be transposed to the present, such as religion, the conception of God, moral values, honor. That's what makes, in my view, Fullmetal so unique and special.

In my opinion, Fullmetal is the best shounen ever released. At one point, the impression that the manga gave me was to send me to the period of World War II, the very allusions to the Führer, the conception of a perfect nation, the elimination of another people to benefit another. However, do not judge the manga becomes terribly upset by addressing such important issues, quite the contrary! And it is also here that the series gains tremendous. Precisely because it is able to combine comedy with seriousness. There are absolutely hilarious scenes, and even the fights and battles are filled with funny situations, able to bring anyone to tears.

The episodes are so well established that there are rare times when the viewer gets bored (actually, for me were nonexistent). Much because the story is extremely interesting, suffering several twists and unexpected developments.

But I believe that the tremendous asset of FMA is precisely the group of characters. One would expect that, in the various chapters that make up the series, arose boring characters, less interesting characters that will hopefully leave the scene as soon as possible. Well, it happens that all (or almost) the characters of FMA have an important role in history. All they do something that will be important for the future, they all have something special. And they all produce some effect on the viewer, whether heroes or villains, friends or enemies, major and minor. They are characters that go far beyond the field of normal, what is presumed and expected for a shounen work. Characters are unique, making it difficult to choose a favorite. As the bosses, the case becomes more complicated. Generally it is expected to develop a terrible hatred for the villains of a story, but so far FMA can surpass all expectations. Are so well constructed that ended up nurturing some "sympathy", so to speak, with them. The most obvious case is that of Envy, one of the seven homunculi that arise in history. To explain his story would have to write a lot more, so I'll just say it's living proof that antagonists surprised us greatly.

I could say much more about Fullmetal Alchemist. I have a feeling that there is still so much to say, so much to explore. But this text will have very long. Always be a manga that influenced me, who showed me a lot. And believe me when I say FMA is one of the best series ever. Because it's true.

Akatsuki no Yona review
*Mild spoilers ahead*

I actually read the akatsuki no yona manga twice, once before the anime and once after. That's how much i expected from this series. But sad to say, Kusanagi Mizuho didn't fully utilize this manga's potential.

Story
The plot is definitely the strongest point of this manga. Not exactly your typical shoujo story, it's set in a historical korean culture. The first few chapters definitely reel you and set up a very intriguing premise. However, that's where the downfall starts. Now, idk if the mangaka is just confused or its her editors forcing her to be, but she continues to spoil the fun out of this story every way she can. The rushed character arcs in the start just to get on with the story, the romance that really doesn't make you go "kyuuu" and cliched shoujo tactics that you don't wanna see in such a well off story. Nonetheless, there are surprises here and then and it does keep you reading on.

Art
The art isn't really eye catching for the most part. You have a few well drawn pages here and there but it's mostly just fine.

Characters
Personally i love the characters. Not because they're all well written but it's easy to grow attached to them. The protagonist, Yona, could be one of the best female characters of all time.. if it weren't for the mangaka making Yona cry every arc and ruin her "strong" shoujo with forced doki dokis. And then you have Hak, who at some point just gets annoying with his forced romance. Infact, i fear Soo Won is the most thought out character in this manga. I'll still give the characters a 7 for their amusing dialogues and supring tactics time to time.

Overall, it is a good manga to get hooked on. It has its bad points but the strong points do exist, often overshadowing the bad. There are pages you can't read enough, arcs that keep at the edge of your seat and surprising moments that do make you go "woa". But i feel Akatsuki no yona could be so much more if it let go of the notion of being "just a shoujo".

Mushishi review
"It’s not your fault. Nor was it the Mushi’s fault. You were both just trying to live. Nobody is guilty. Don’t die. You’ve done nothing wrong." - Ginko

"Its a beautiful painting with an amazing story on it" - Me, describing this manga

Mushi is a creature concept that Yuki Urushibahara made for describing strange event that happen in this manga, so we can said mushi are the causes of strange phenomenon that happen in this story. so, is that mushi bad? quotes from MAL,
"Mushi": the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply "being." They are beyond the shackles of the words "good" and "evil"" And Mushishi itself, we can said its like a doctor or maybe researcher, because Mushishi is a people who declare theyself for researching about mushi.

This story involves about Ginko, a mushishi who always deals with the strange phenomenon, the focusses of this story itself was The character from each charapter and their odd event. since in this manga, is 1 chapter 1 story (episodic), and of course the character itself from each character is different except for Ginko. So whats so good about this manga?

1. Ginko is not your "all-can-do-hero", he is not god. he is usually help people with what he can do, and again, he is so much different with other Mushishi who thinking Mushi is bad creature that affects so many people. for himself, Mushi are beyond the shackles of the words "good" and "evil". Furthermore, he is always think rational and logically, the calmness that Ginko shows was the main reason why this manga is in top 30.

2. The story itself was really spectacular yet its so calming. The joyness from reading Mushishi is when you're tired after working or school then when you're reading this manga you will feel your tired is gone and your body feels light (based on my experience), from what i read, the story is focus on the character that have a strange phenomenon and Ginko was like the side character (since sometimes he appears so slightly) but that was make this manga is so appealing, we can really feels the strange phenomenon itself more deeper, and even sometimes i dont realize that my tears were fallen.

3. For some readers, maybe this manga is like a picture book, since so many beautiful scenery pictures that appears in this manga, but for me especially, this manga is like a painting with story. You can enjoy the magnificent story with a beautiful art. Cool, huh? and what make this manga appealing was the traditional ink that Yuki Urushibara used. I believe you will not get bored seeing the art in this manga.

4. And what makes me more surprise was the character development that this manga has. with just one chapter (50-60 pages) Yuki Urushibara can make us falling in love with each different character that appears in each chapters.

5. Its not always happy ending, yet it can be a sad ending. Yeah, this story was not for you who seeking a happy ending (although there was a happy ending), each chapters ending can make you feels happy, sometimes can make you feel sad or cry and even your tears can fallen unconsciously.

If you're looking for an amazing manga, this manga is surely what you're looking for.

Anta Nanka Iranai review
Anta Nankai Iranai is, first and foremost, a collection of oneshots all about "infidelity" in some form of another. It's about relationships and what happens when feelings stray.

Some are mild, where a person in a relationship develops feelings for another person (usually for the friend of their boyfriend or girlfriend). Others are outright cheating. The four oneshots basically approach the scenario a little bit differently, but they share a common theme of heartache and the difficulties of things falling apart when stuff like this happens.

In that sense, it sets the stories apart from the usual shoujo romance manga (which is a nice change of pace). It's also the type of premise that I can imagine being something very angsty and dramatic if written out as a lengthier series (which could be a good or a bad thing, depending on your preferences).

The big downfall, however, is that it all feels bland. The stories aren't bad, but they're not particularly good either. They're, at best, mediocre. And outside of the premise, it feels unfortunately forgettable to me.

I think a large part of why is because of the characters. I don't care for any of them, so while the situations they come across are supposed to be sad, it failed at getting much reaction out of me.

For stories that are supposed to be about the heartache of feelings changing, it doesn't bode well when I don't feel the sadness of the characters. I know they're supposed to love each other, but I don't feel the love. I see the tears and I see the drama, but they all fell flat.

It could also be that the short length didn't allow for the stories to do the characters or the more complicated premise justice. Either way, the stories are missing the "oomph" that makes readers either cry, cheer, want to rip things apart, etc.

As I've said, though, it isn't a bad read. If you're interested in stories that explore themes of feelings straying, then perhaps this collection could do more for you than it did me. Just don't expect anything grand or feeling-shifting.

For me, it stands firmly in the very average rating of 5.

Sister Trap review
[Specialty:Ecchi and touching]

Ok, I may be a little biased with the overall score for this series, and I was really tempted to write this review although I only read 9 chapters till now. The reason is that I was so entranced with the main story ending and the 2 side stories.

Story:9
8 for main story and 9-10 for the 2 side stories.
The main story wasn't exactly original, and it seems to revolve around the ecchi theme, but at times the characters show their unique personalities and their purpose for certain actions, as well as their resolve for some matters. Emotions were quite clear for some parts, and although the main story seems fictional, it does reach its goal. And that is, ecchi with sense, not some random orgy or whatever.

The 2 side stories were really excellent, chapters 8 and 9 I mean. Both include strong emotions while showing the sexual scenes, which is what a LOT of mangas with ecchi miss out now. Plus both contained unique storyline that aren't that exactly predictable the moment u start reading the first few pages.

I ESPECIALLY love chapter 9, it is my fav one shot so far (among certain genres)

Art:8
It's good, detailed when it needs to be, while simple yet funny at some other times. The art is not an impediment to the story-reading process.

Character:7
For the main story I dun really like the other 2 sisters (their raunchy behavior), but I like the other 2 main characters cause of the dedication they have for each other at the beginning and ultimately. Not much story development really.

Side stories- Mostly just by actions they are likeable and cause story to progress smoothly. Not much character development either.

Enjoyment:10
What I like this manga is that, once you take the sexual scenes with a pinch of salt (esp the very-fiction-like ones), you may be able to see that the storyline is very ecchi, but it does not contain that much ecchi content (compared to Virgin na Kankei beginning chapters or most hentai). Well, but this depends on the individual.

And I especially love ecchi mangas which have touching moments or deeper meaning than endless ecchi.

Overall:10
It's good. Nuff' said. Will be updated once I've seen chapter 10.

Biotop review
Biotop isn't exactly the most thrilling, world-warping, amazing thing you'll ever read.

However, it certainly isn't bad. Although the low score says otherwise, Biotop really is a treat. It's like buying a small candy; you won't remember it, but you'll enjoy it in the moment.

Story-3

Biotop really doesn't have an overarching narrative. It's set up in a loose form of different jokes that are really all the story consists of. There is a small background story--however, it's really just there as a reason for the characters to be where they are

Art-6

By no stretch of the imagination does Biotop have amazing art. However, it's art is strangely fitting with what the manga needs, and does its job well. If anything, I'd say the simplistic nature complements the story quite well.

Character-7

Biotop does not have particularly amazing characters, nothing to deep. But what it does have is entertaining as hell. Everyone has their own small motives, and can be quite hilarious at times.

Enjoyment-8

I'll be honest, I did not expect to enjoy the read so much. I was only something I picked up out of pure boredum. So--I was pleasently surprised when I found myself thinking moments were hilarious and enjoyable.

Overall-7

I'd say that if you have some spare time, try it! If it isn't you're cup of tea after a chapter or two then that's that, you won't miss much if you drop it.

However--If you're just looking for something to quickly read and have a good chuckle without working your brain to much, I'd definetly recommend Biotop.

CROSS EPOCH review
So I hunted this down after hearing it was a crossover between One Piece and Dragonball, because who wouldn't want to read something like that? You have two wonderful artists combining their already loved characters together in what should be an awesome story, right?

Wrong.

The story is completely and totally random, and had I not read One Piece or Dragonball I would have been at a total loss. It makes slight references to minor plot points of the other two stories, but it does not have the "pirates" or "z-fighters" themes at all. It's just these really random characters going around doing their (what we can assume) daily routines. It's totally plotless.

The art is wonderful. It's well drawn, the characters fit together seamlessly, and there's a lot of action in the background. Very common of the OP and DB series. In fact, the art is probably the best thing about this manga, because you can see (with official art!) what the characters look like together.

The characters, again, are wonderful. However, they are also using the same personalities from their mother series, so if you haven't read OP or DB before you would be at a total loss as to what is happening, or why they are doing certain things within the manga.

Enjoyment value was okay; again, it's OP and DB, and even if it is a totally crack story, it was amusing to see some characters together. Props out to Sanji and Roshi hanging out together. That was awesome.

Overall, if you have read Dragonball and One Piece, you should probably read Cross Epoch just to say you did. It's not a great story, but it's still fun to look at the art and see what characters Toriyama and Oda decided should work together, based on their personalities and/or gender. It's not any sort of monumental story that you'll dig out a great plot from, but I would say that it is worth reading.
