Tabako-chan review
In a world where anything can be turned into cute anime girls (or in this case, cute manga girls), it was only a matter of time until someone attempted to make cigarettes cute. However, sometimes cuteness does not hide away the quality of a manga, which is the case in Tabako-chan.

My biggest problem with the manga Tabako-chan has to be the story. Throughout the manga, I kept asking myself the question "What's the point?". The story just felt boring, and didn't go anywhere. The characters didn't have any purpose or goal that they wanted to achieve. We were just following the characters mundane daily life. However, I wouldn't have had a problem with this if the comedy was good. The only issue is, that it's not good. The comedy is as boring as the story, and many jokes just felt flat. There were a few jokes that made me smile or laugh a bit, but in general, the jokes weren't that great. When a comedy manga fails to have good jokes, it usually isn't a good manga. And that is one of the biggest issues in Tabako-chan.

Remember when I said that there are cigarettes as cute anime girls in this manga? Well, at least the author managed to accomplish that. The character designs for the cigarettes were quite good, and I had no issues with them. Although the male character designs were generic, I didn't have any issue with those, and they were good enough. Overall, the art was good, and is definitely the strongest point of this manga.

If only the characters were as good as the character designs. Like the story, the characters were kind of boring to say the least. The human characters were incredibly boring, and had barely any personality. They just felt like placeholder characters that the author forgot to give any value or personality. Well, that's for the human characters. The cigarettes had a bit more personality, and was what really drove this manga. Alongside their cute character designs, they were fun characters as a whole. However, they still felt kind of bland. But at the very least, they were better than the human characters.

Overall, Tabako-chan is a very bland manga. Although there were some enjoyable moments, I sometimes felt bored while reading it. This manga definitely had potential, and could have turned into a good manga. However, it decided to jump into a cigarette's ashes and slowly burn away any chance it had to become a good manga.

Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I started smoking, but I'm not ready to risk my health for the sake of appreciating this manga. If you are interested in seeing cute cigarette girls, feel free to give this manga a shot.

Soukyuu no Ariadne review
Making a review since no one else has so far.

Let me start off by saying that this isn't Claymore. It's a shonen adventure manga through and through.

Story: 8

The story starts off pretty basic, but it grows up with the characters. Being aimless at the beginning of the story felt a little weird, but the world-building, characters and their goofy interactions was enough to pull me it until the plot started in earnest. As the story has went on the protagonists have been put in more and more danger and slight layers of complexity are added, which I am a big fan of. It feels like a nice progression from innocent fun, to the stakes being a little bit higher in every arc.

Art: 8

The art isn't anything too special most of the time, but there are some shining moments where you can tell Yagi put a lot of work into it. The characters are more easily differentiated than in his past works, but some of the designs for minor characters can look a little lazy. The action art is also clean on the whole, but sometimes it feels like something is missing to make it more dynamic. Where I think the art really shines in this series is the landscape/cityscape art. Spreads of towns and the world as a whole are beautiful and add a lot of life to this series.

Characters: 9

The characters are one of my favorite parts of this manga. They have such a great group dynamic, and as more characters have joined the main cast, none of them have felt annoying or useless so far. The duel protagonists, Lacile and Leana, bounce off of each other very well and their relationship slowly growing is one of the things I look forward to as the chapter count increases.

For side characters, the tribes in the world of Soukyuu no Ariadne are very interesting with how they are portrayed and how different their looks and customs are.
The tribes are modeled after the 12 zodiacs, and their names come from their japanese name, just spelled backwards. The main casts visits these tribes learn about them, and help them out while hopping from town to town on their adventure.

Enjoyment: 9

I am really enjoying this manga so far. There isn't anything particularly outstanding about it, but the characters make me laugh and make me feel for them too. The mystery sprinkled into the story is growing and I am excited to uncover it, along with the rest of the world that has been built up.

Overall: 9

This is something great to get into if you are looking to go on an adventure and like some goofy antics thrown in every now and then. A couple things that I think can push this series into being more popular are more dynamic actions scenes and stronger enemies that can really push the main cast further in their respective fights.

A Bias Girl review
A Bias Girl is comedic slice of life story depicting two student's, Kim, and Boa, who mean well, but often get into trouble.

Story: 9, because it works as a slice of high school life without getting too boring. The plot centers on Kim who gets into crazy situations and how she affects those around her, mostly her best friend and partner in crime, Boa. The plot is character driven and relies on Kim's biased and extroverted attitude to bring any events.

Character: 9. Kim is funny, determined, outgoing, and bias. Boa is calm and mature, but can be too serious at times. Together, they come off as an idiotic duo with Kim spouting biased nonsense and coming up with wild ideas while Boa tries to speak logically and keep her from trouble, but is often right by her side when they get caught. Their close bond really makes the story, because together they are hilarious. While foul-mouthed and violent, they bring out the worst in each other, and other times, the best. While trusting they have each other's undying loyalty, the girls manage to piss each other off before teaming up once again to get into senseless trouble with their teachers and other students.

Art: 8. The manhwa is in color and appears simple and neat. Character design is original and fitting for each character, though the uniform did not appear the same as it looked on the cover.
Enjoyment: 9. I really liked this manhwa, although it hasn't updated in a long time. The first six chapters have been really funny and I would definitely read the rest if the other chapters are ever posted. The first chapter was a little slow, but the second got me interested. Although short, I thought A Bias Girl was a worthwhile read.

Overall: An 8 from what I read. I loved the personalities of Kim and Boa and how they clashed yet remained close friends.

Harukaze no Snegurochka review
This manga tells us the story of Bielka, a disabled girl on a wheelchair, escorted by her one-eyed slender companion around the countryside of Russia in the period of the rise of the Bolshevikh party, which eventually leads to the country, adopting the Communist regime.

The manga is short and explores a part of the history, usually never portrayed in a manga, which makes this piece unique and very interesting if you do have some previous knowledge about this certain period and the Russian Communism in general. A minus is that there is no summary about this period or detailed explaination or exposition, so you might feel quite puzzled, as well as you'll unintentionally miss on some details.

The art is expressive, and fits well with the story. It's more mature and grounded than most of the mangas out there, but it certainly does it's job way, portraying one cold, bleak and chaotic canvas on which our characters to show ourselves.

They are not very well developed as personalities and aspirations. Their main role is to be onlookers, and to give us a perespective how insignificant the human life was at the time, and the strong opression of the regime upon every single character.

Harukaze no Snegurochka is a rare historical manga, which portrays even more rare period in the world history with very accurate historical details and portraying a couple of historical figures as a characters. Despite that, for a person, not interested in history or not really invested into exploring this time period, it would seem quite pointless endeavor to read this piece.

Mazinger Z review
You know the story, Kouji Kabuto's grandpa has built a giant robot for him, called Mazinger Z, and gave him the choice of either doing good or evil, to become a god or the devil.

But if you don't, you shouldn't make this your first contact with the series. While it's a fun read for veterans on the series, if you're getting into it for the first time, you can get really confused, as many things are simply dropped on your face without any explanation.

The series stays in a steady pace for most of its run, but in the last two volumes you can tell the author was either tired or wanted to focus on his other works, rushing for it to end, only to stop it abruptly after an event that while may be the climax, it's also nothing close to a conclusion. After it, you have a string of episodic short chapters to wrap up the final volume. You could read it as him just giving up of making this a series and instead just him trying to promote the anime, which had recently started, and its original concepts.

One could call it dated, but Go Nagai's '70s art style is so charming and dynamic that you can't help but love it, the fight scenes are well executed and with the poses he draws, it really gives you a sense of movement.

None of the characters are actually fleshed out, but they're mostly unique and memorable. Kabuto may be a pretty generic mecha protagonist from the early days, but characters like Baron Ashura and the other villains keep the series fresh and enjoyable. Also, the manga has a few bad jokes here and there, so you may either chuckle a little with some of them or hate them.

TL;DR it's a fun manga with a not-ending. You either like it or hate it.
