One Piece review
ill j say what i think, as not being a stan of One Piece and also being a person that doesnt think that One Piece can do no wrong

Art (8/10): Nothing amazing, just ur usual shonen art. Spreads are nice, but every spread in every jump budget shonen manga has abt the same quality. I place the art in between Naruto's and Bleach's.
Story (10/10): This is why ur reading the manga, shits insane. Legit every arc is gold imo except for one of them legit being ass tier and the other just being boring bcs its and exposition arc. Im not gonna say the exposition arc is ass tier tho, its like good ig still. Other than those 2, exery single arc is completely different bcs its a different island
Comedy (8/10): Nothing special, average shonen comedy. Theres just some really good ones at certain points. It does the job, sure it isnt up to comedies like Gintama, but this is a action/adventure series and not an episodic comedy
Characters:
Design (10/10): Each Character is different like completely in both their personality and the way that they look. No character ever looks recycled and each one of them has their own role to play
Development (6/10): I feel as though there is almost no character development. Lets take Luffy, the MC, for instance. If u take him from chapter 1 to chapter 800, he basically the same except hes insanely stronger (the fact that hes much stronger isnt a bad thing). Theres some points where he could have developed i feel like, but it was missed. Something happens right before timeskip that could have easily made him into a much more complex character, but hes basically turned into the same thing except he feels a little more grief. Nico Robin is downgraded from pre to post timeskip. She was legit my favorite character in the crew tied with zoro, but now shes just there. She was really interesting and complex and now she doesnt do anything. Usopp i feel has developed really well. He was certainly a coward and knows that everyone he fights is stronger, but he actually evolves into a person that realizes his own cowardice and improves. Chopper is fine, he starts as the mascot and hes still the mascot. Zoro was a negative parabola imo. He starts out kinda changing into this person who distrusts Luffy to someone who is willing to die for him. Then he devolves into a bloodlust machine that trusts luffy with some alleigances acording to luffy's alliances. Sanji, i swear sanji was a missed oppurtunity. He starts from this perverted woman loving cook, to a perverted woman loving cook who is stronger. Theres this point in a really later arc, in which he gets betrayed by a woman really hard. He could have changed into someone who knows that woman can hurt him, nope. He remains exactly the same.
Villains (9/10): They're all unique and each one has their own motivations. They all have different personalities and such. The way they are beat is also really unique.
Power System (8/10): Average shonen power system but its a bit improved so it isnt insanely broken to one side. Its not HxH level of amazing, but its not autistic like bleach's became in the end.
World Building (10/10): Best world building i have ever seen, they have legit made a whole planet that makes sense and works.
Overall: Manga is a 9.5/10

Koe no Katachi review

to begin with, i think the one shot was better because it was the good part of the story without the cons of the entire manga.

The story had the potential to be a true masterpiece and a really touching story but it didnt go very well in my opinion...

The manga should have just focused with the two main characters instead of giving us that bad film projet with all those uninteresting other characters. It would have been really good if the two of them would have faced some "trouble" by seeing other characters from the elementary school who bullied the girl. The manga did not take enought depth in this and decided to put that shi*ty film instead which forces us to see some characters that we just dont want to see like Miki, the class representative who is basically a wh*re from the start to the end of the story.

To conclude, if you are interested by the plot, just read the one shot it's MORE than enought believe me do not waste your time with anything else this manga is for me a bit of a disappointment and more than anything else : a big waste

Overall i put a 6 because of the one shot and of the plot which is a good idea but a wasted idea unfortunately. If not for the one shot it would have been a 5.

The 2 main characters are very good, a shy cute girl (i'm quite disappointed by the lack of romance into this story it would have been way better with more romance) and a kind man who just knows that he fu*ked up in his youth. Both deserve at least a 9 but once again i put 7 (and it's i think still too much) because of the other annoying or bad characters like Miki, also the fat boy who became friend with MC (this one is juste plain annoying, at the end i wasn't even reading his bubbles, he's useless...)
The "handsome" guy is a contradiction in himself. He says he hates bully but he's best friend his the class representative who DENIES every bit of implication with the bullying she has done. I would have believed that author was going to do an arc focused on this with the "handsome" guy that would forces this wh*re to assume what she has done if she wants to stay with him (she has a crush on him) but no. The author didnt do anything, either he forgot either he didnt care but it's not acceptable especially when you notice that class rep is still the EXACT same at the end (deny everything).
This manga is presumably talking about friendship too but what friendship ? Apart the 2 mains characters they are just colleagues. Class rep is there because of the handsome guy, this one is there because he was bored, fatty is just there because he wants to do a movie and black haired girl is here because she has a crush on MC.

I honestly think this manga is overrated because people are emotive and rate it for it's original and touchy plot instead of noting it for what is offers to us = wasted and useless romance, it would have been better if author didnt make any romance at all instead of teasing us for nothing, bad friendship, bad character development and some incoherences (black haired girl is in love with MC since elementary school but for some reasons she cut every ties with him in elementary school, she just talked with him to bully him once in middle school I just dont understand her it's a nonsense..)

One Punch-Man review
A stunning mix of comedy and action manga. With the most gorgeous art I've ever seen in a long time.

Story & Character - Onepunchman is not your typical shounen manga. Most shounen mangas follow a weak or wimpy boy who slowly grows up and become stronger in order to reach his goals. Not Onepunchman. The main character Saitama is already so strong he ends all of his fights in one punch. He is literally so strong there hasn't been anyone or anything that give him a hard time. You might think, then what's the fun in watching a story where the character is too powerful? You'll be surprised when you give this manga a try.

It doesn't have a central plot, per se, but the story progresses as more characters and more villains get introduced. Saitama, who started off alone, started getting to know more and more characters, each with their own quirks and circumstances that brought forth interesting storyline. As a shounen manga, of course one of the main points of Onepunchman is the fight scenes. But how are the scenes even enjoyable when Saitama ends everything in one punch? Well, the fight scenes are not only about Saitama's. In fact, Saitama's fights are only around 20% of the total fight scenes. There's a whole lot of interesting side characters that aren't invincible, each fighting strong enemies on their own, and that comprises around 80% of Onepunchman's fight scenes. The characters and villains are all so diverse that the interactions between them are varied. Believe me, you won't be bored.

Also, the comedy. Onepunchman is a comedy gold. Just by looking at the bald stature of Saitama you'd know that this is not a depressing manga. It's extremely fun and Saitama's interactions with his buddies are hilarious. The authors got a knack for inserting humour into the most ridiculous parts of the story, and it works. That's not to say Onepunchman is a complete gag manga. It's got its emotional moments as well. It's a great blend between the serious moments and the hilarious moments.

Art - Absolutely stunning. I grew up reading Eyeshield 21, which was drawn by the same author (Yusuke Murata), and the fact that his artwork has grown so, so much from the first volume of Eyeshield 21 to this masterpiece of artwork that is Onepunchman staggers me. Everything looks so vivid and extremely detailed. Dare I say that Onepunchman has the best art in a shounen manga I've ever seen. The fight scenes look fluid and easy to follow, there are even a few chapters where the pages are just spreads of snapshots in the fight. It doesn't feel like manga anymore, it's like buying an art book.

Overall, Onepunchman is an amazing manga. It's extremely enjoyable and will have you in stitches from too much laughing. I really don't have anything bad to say about this. Please try reading this. You won't be disappointed.

Daiku no Magia review
I picked this up from the library without knowing anything about it except that it looked like standard shonen fare. It turns out it isn't but it does have similar themes.

There's a high schooler whose parents were killed by a demon and now he wants to become an exorcist. He hunts down an eccentric man named Beethoven who runs a "church" (not a church, just a group of exorcists for hire) and tries to convince him to take him on as an apprentice. Beethoven says no, guy insists, gets hired as a cleaner with the implication that if he does well he could be an apprentice, yadda yadda. High schooler gets his own musician name at some point: Brahm. Everyone who is an exorcist has the name of a famous classical musician. There's a reason for this, but I'll leave it up to you to decide if you want to read the manga to find out.

Everyone is bishonen. There are battles sometimes, with lots of flowery visuals and musically-named attacks, but the story focuses more on the characters' relationships--all of whom are archetypes you'd find in a mediocre mid-2000s shoujo manga, despite this being from 2015--and is very obviously josei. But not particularly GOOD josei.

I will say that the art is nice and the music motif could potentially be very fun if it had more space to shine. However, at only 2 volumes, the story ends just as it's starting and I was left with multiple questions. On the bright side, the short length means that even though it's far from a masterpiece, it doesn't feel like a time sink to finish. If you just need something to do while waiting for the bus, this wouldn't be a bad choice.

It's a stretch to call this a collection of "stories" - these are vignettes, ranging from 3-pagers to 3-parters, about young people in love.

First let's talk about the good: the art, while likely not everyone's cup of tea, is right up my alley. Clean, sparse panels - sometimes just text on an empty background. Drawn in a sketchy style, figures are gaunt but graceful. Naturalistic movements; poetic melancholy. A thoroughly indie vibe. In a few places the background shading makes the floating text slightly hard to read; squinting is highly recommended.

~70% of each vignette consists of inner monologue - while this delivers in terms of raw emotional intensity, it doesn't do much of anything to push the plot along (...what plot?). All I got was a series of abruptly edited moments thrown in my face like confetti. The characters have names and dialogue (most of them anyway), but no semblance of personality - or rather, the snippets presented are way too short for the reader to get to know them, or for any reasonable character development to occur. These people seem to exist solely in a world of love, for the purpose of love, and as such, I couldn't connect with any of them. I could only connect with the feelings and memories of past loves they evoked in my mind - which is all well and good if that's the intent of the mangaka, but 200+ pages of this shtick is a tad excessive imho. Every few chapters, I found myself craving a real story with a substantial plot.

By far my favorite from this collection is "Yoru no Hitokake", in which a roadkill incident causes the protagonist to re-examine her life. "Itaitashii Love IV" is moving, but missing that little ... something. Overall, the vignettes would have better served as blueprint sketches to be fleshed out into full-length works - or at least, I hope that's what they were used for anyway.

Recommended as an emo teenage diary, lovingly illustrated; a tonic for broken hearts in small doses.

Makikomarete Isekai Teni suru Yatsu wa, Taitei Cheat review
You know, normally I write lengthy, informative reviews where I try to enlighten potential readers or current readers. People who want to know if it's good, or going to get better/worse. This will not be one of them, and if you looked at the score I gave it, you know why.

The intro alone set off some flags, and was more than in your face about its ecchi content, and what was to be. At no point does it try to hide, tame, or sprinkle it's perverted nature. To some that may be a good thing, but in this manga they shove it so far down your throat you wonder if you have the worlds longest windpipe.

But HEY, at least the art is nice! Right? At least there's potential for some banger action or cool overpowered characters, yeah? Sadly, and I haven't done my research so I can't tell you why, no, it does not. Time to hit the fast forward button...

Story: 3/10
Cause man, you're obviously in another Isekai but they can't blatantly rip off every other isekai right? Well hold on, at first (excluding the cringy opening of blatant sex... appeal?) you have a plot that seems to have potential. What's that? Transported to another world?! Surely our MC will be given god pow... What he's normal? Oh awesome.
Give it a chapter. Then it spirals down from there into... Trash enjoyment? Pure sexual panels? It's such a weak plot, but there are worse plots out there..

Art: 3/10
It started out good, then it progressively gets worse and worse. I couldn't tell if the artists changed, or if they just stopped caring. What I do know is, I'm a huge fan of art and I believe a manga lives by two things; art and the characters they bring to life. 4/10 = Decent, so I can't even give it that.

Characters: 2/10
Its hard to give anything 1/10 because that would mean the author wants you to hate their work. You have a handful of overused tropes, trash characters, and "hey lets make them as sexual as can be... full stop." I cannot care about a single person in this, and that's a first. I'm usually lenient and can find one thing I love about any manga.

Enjoyment: 1/10

I tried, I enjoyed 1 chapter, kept reading hoping for something to develop and gave it the hope it didn't deserve. It failed every expectation, and I realized it was one of those manga's I kept reading because I already gave it so much time.

I wouldn't recommend this to even people I dislike.
