Resumen
When Ao was in kindergarten, she smiled ear-to-ear as she told her classmates how her father, a bestselling erotic author, chose her name: "A as in apple and O as in orgy!" That day still haunts her ten years later as she studies with a single goal in mind: to get into an elite university and achieve independence from her father once and for all. She has no youth to misspend and no time to think about boys...until her classmate, "King Normie" Kijima, approaches her with a shocking confession of love. She tries to lose Kijima, but he just can't take a hint...and as her mind runs wild with dirty thoughts, she realizes her father has totally influenced her!

I've decided to read this manga after watching the anime, it was quite a good surprise even though it's just your casual, fluffy romcom. I wouldn't really qualify this manga as "Ecchi", since it offers little to 0 fanservice (most of the scenes happen in Ao's head and don't occur in real-life), but instead the scenes are just sweet and sort of innocent, contrasting to Ao's inner personality (closet pervert).

Even though the series gets published in a monthly magazine so there are only a few chapters (38 so far to this date), the pacing is actually entertaining and fluid which makes you feel attached to the characters and actually caring about their relationship. The story is kinda predictable, but we're not looking for anything exceptional, just something cute to read before going to sleep. The plot is rather plain, some scenes are pretty comedic but I wouldn't say funny. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a romance with a consistent plot, character developement or realistic theme.

Speaking of character developement, it actually exists but is poorly executed : anyone beside the main cast doesn't really matter and they don't bring any developement to Ao or Kijima. Ao herself is the hard-working girl who's awkward with romance and has prejudices with men, meanwhile Kijima is the popular handsome classmate who's actually inexperienced with romance and fell in love for Ao on the first sight. The two of them are rather shippable, they do have a lot of cute moments together like Kijima struggling to tell her how he feels and Ao being embarrassed. We get to see the two of them grow as a couple and I find it quite lovely.

The art is acceptable, definitely not amazing but some panels managed to bring the emotions to the readers.

Overall, enjoying this manga or not totally depends on you, but if you don't mind spending few hours reading a rather cute romance just to relax, then definitely give it a try. I stopped reading romcom a few years ago after getting bored, this one actually surprised me to the point of writing a review.

If you want a masterpiece or a life changing experience this is not for you, but if you want a sweet and hilarious romantic comedy to lighten up your mood I definitely recommend Ao-chan Can’t study.
I often see the same kind of long reviews that say too much and nothing I actually wanted to know. I HATE SPOILERS, but I also don't want to waste my time with a story that starts great but decays and ends poorly or one where, after all their trouble, the couple doesn't end up together.. for no reason at all.

So I thought I should review in a different way, YES or NO answers to the questions:
- IS THE ENDING GOOD?
- DOES THE MAIN COUPLE END TOGETHER?
- IS IT WORTH MY TIME?

***If you don't want to know the answers to these 3 questions you should stop reading right now.***
If you're like me who just want to know if the story is worth your time, go ahead. So without further ado:

Is the ending good? YES
Does the main couple end up together? YES
Is it worth my time? YES

BRIEF FULL REVIEW: This is one of the few stories that made me cry from laughing, it’s HILARIOUS, the mangaka’s comedic timing is off the charts. The art is fairly good and fits the genre. The manga is currently completed and the anime adapts until Vol. 05 Lesson 20, it goes up to Vol. 08 and Lesson 36, 42 chapters in full with some extra ones. If you came from watching the anime you don't have to reread it, they adapted exactly the same as the manga, even the same panels as scenes and facial expressions. The manga is as funny as the anime adaptation and does go a little further on the story, but I feel like the story wrapped pretty perfectly the way the anime did it. I felt the manga stretched the story a bit too much for no good reason, but it’s still as good as the anime.

I intend to make my reviews brief, focusing on answering these three questions. If you like this kind of review I try my best to write in all animes and mangas I've experienced, so you can see a complete list of reviews next to my name just above.

Thank you, you're welcome and peace out. ^^
