Chou Osuteki Darling

Regardless of what the description says this manga is about a 17 year old girl taking a lover that is two years younger than her. Thats about it. The first half is about her worrying about being older than he and the other half is her worrying about being too perverted with him. This manga forcefully misses the chance of real depth that this set up could have provided. In the begining as the description says she is hopelessly in love with her brother in law. As you might of guess this is the first hurdle in her love affair with her koahi but unfortunatly for the reader the issue is just swept away with out much fuss or lingering feelings. The manga than worps past opening stages of thier relationship so once again the reader misses out on any intresting events that might of come up between a senior and a freshmen just starting a rommantic engagment. It than goes on to narrowly escape shoujo themes such as rivals and secret tabbo love. Namely a boy who was probably in love with the girl for quite sometime and the fact that she seems to be a little embarrassed to have such a relationship with some one two years younger and smaller in stature. The final epic dodge of intresting storyline was the fact that she will be going off to college soon and he will still have a couple years in high school. The manga just dosn't deal with it.In the end all the manga seems to be concerned with really is as i said before her insecurities at being with a younger guy and even so the issue is not so much dealt with as just sexed away(there is alot of sex people) and her worrying if she is to perverted but she gets over it( and by that i mean they agree to have sex like bunnies). Having said all that, by the time you finished reading this review you could have read two chapters of the manga and only have six left so why not read it. I like my stories with less sex and more sweetness but for only eight chapters long its not to much of a waste of your time. The art is pretty good and alot of funny mostly centering around one guy that just wont give up on doing the lead girl and how she handedly deals with such a pest. Eventhough the story as a whole is pretty simplistic and anti climactic each chapter is still pretty entertaining and the minor storylines are cute and/or clever. If you read it than you'll be etertained for a short while if you don't you won't miss out on much.
